If the Pres. Election Were Held Today...

If the election were held today, who would you vote for?

  • Bush

  • Kerry

  • Nader

Results are only viewable after voting.
Well...I can't tell you how I would vote, because I can't, but my family are all VERY conservative and VERY set on voting for Bush.

BR,

It seems as if Bush's popularity has gone done since Abu Ghraib, the confusing never ending story of a war, gas prices, the general state of the economy......need I go on?;)

I'm sticking with Bush. My grandson is a Marine and slated to go to Iraq by the end of this summer. No time for a wishy-washy president!

Kerry. I honestly think he will be at least as capable in Iraq as Bush and MUCH better on domestic and social policies.

Shellie........... I agree with you completely!!!

? for those of you with military family members.... WHY WOULD YOU VOTE FOR BUSH??

My son is in the Army, My dh was a Marine, MANY friends still in the Army and Marines.... there is not ONE of them that wants to keep Mr. Bush as their Boss.. NOT ONE! Yes they are happy with their pay raises... and YES they all have been to IRAQ and other dangerous duty stations, Yes they follow their given orders, but do they trust in Mr. Bush's ability or the Congress ability to utilize the armed forces in the best possible manner for the best possible reason??...NO they don't....They are hoping for strong leaders that make decisions based on America's best interest.

Now this is just the opinions of the people I know in Active Military Service...............I realize lots of people feel much differently than this group. I am open to discussion... not to slamming the President or others opinions.

I originally supported President Bush's decision to go to war. But since that was all based on false information I'm definitely supporting Kerry. I'm also really getting worried about so much talk about brining back the draft. I'm the mother of sons 18, 20 and 21 who are all in college.

Dubya.

And don't forget...if you don't vote, you got no right to complain about the way the country is run.

Kerry. But I'll also vote for the eggnog that's been in my fridge since November before I vote for Bush. While I wouldn't characterize myself as a single-issue voter, I do place a lot of importance on women's reproductive rights, which Bush seems intent on curtailing as much as possible.

Do I like Kerry? Not necessarily. I still prefer Dean. However, I'm firmly in the ABB camp, so there you go.

You can put me in the ABB group. This will be my 4th time to not vote for bush. Twice in Texas and twice for pres.

*shrug* Most of the people I know in the military fully support Pres Bush and want him to remain President and have complete trust in Pres Bush's abilities to lead. Maybe we both just hang out with the people who tend to believe the same things we do?

As for this poll, I voted Bush because Michael Badnarik, the Libertarian candidate, wasn't an option.

I'm voting for Kerry. An abbreviated list of my reasons why and what I hope to see improve:

-International relations (you remember those, where we actually have allies without purchasing or threatening them!)

-Women's Rights (women should be assured their personal and reproductive rights will not be continually undermined)

-Health Care (developing a realistic health care and medicare reform program, and make a real effort to address the cost of prescription drugs)

-The War on Terror (not to be confused with Terra) - (Kerry will go after real terrorists and won't go after fake ones that he conveniently calls terrorists. And if Kerry takes us into a war, it will be because he had no other choice--not because he's tring to upstage his daddy. )

I'm hoping he will work toward restoring the respect of the rest of the world that Bush has trashed in his desire for more wealth and power for himself and his cronies. Which of course leads me to the biggest reason why I'm voting for Kerry:

He's Not George W. Bush!!!

(off the political soapbox for now..... :p )
