:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :worship: Oh great and wise Winkers, Queen of the smilies

.
I need to find a kilt smiley! :thumbsup2 I am embracing my Jakeyness.

:rotfl2: I truely believe you have the potential to be one of the great Jakey's of all time honey:worship:

Is Niamh sad without her big sis around? :goodvibes Poor thing. Bribing always worked for me. It reminds me of when both the girls were in school when Joshua was just under 2 y/o. We would drop them off and then when we got home he'd sob and wait by the front door for them to get home, crying Babbo (Gabby) and Woe woe (Chloe). :cutie:

How's Bex enjoying high school?

Niamh is exactly like wee Joshie :sad2: , when Becci and Chloe set off for school in the morning she shouts "Come back gals, I love you and I miss you"(always the one for the dramatic my Niamh;) ), then she spends the day asking for them and looking out of the window to see if they're coming home yet (it would bring tears to a glass eye:sad: ). I'm hoping once she starts nursery next month then she'll not miss Bex as much. Becci on the other hand is loving high school:lovestruc she feels very grown up and enjoys the variety of classes. She has been asked out four times in the first week:scared: (once by a boy in third year:scared1: .....Big D ain't a happy man:mad: ) thankfully she's not interested in that kind of nonsense just now:angel: :thumbsup2 . So far so good (touch wood).

Kirsteen, me, a great Jakey? You like me you really like me!!! :cool1: :thumbsup2

:faint: 4 boys already? :scared: Thank goodness she's not there yet. I'll say a little prayer that she's a late bloomer for liking the boys. :flower3:

:sad1: Poor little Niamh (how do you pronounce Niamh?) I bet she'll love pre-school. How many days a week does she go? What are you going to do with all that free time? :woohoo:

Hey you already knew that I'm one of your biggest fans;) :goodvibes

:faint: 4 boys already? :scared: Thank goodness she's not there yet. I'll say a little prayer that she's a late bloomer for liking the boys. :flower3:

The prayers have come too late, Becci is very keen on boys but I just think she's been scared off by my constant lectures about how you can fall pregnant at twelve and also the first time you do it. Her usual response is to roll her eyes and say "Muuuummmm, I've not even kissed anyone yet"...."Just let it stay that way my girl". Though with her mothers genes it may take an intervention instead of a prayer thread:rolleyes1 ;) :lmao:

:sad1: Poor little Niamh (how do you pronounce Niamh?) I bet she'll love pre-school. How many days a week does she go? What are you going to do with all that free time? :woohoo:

You pronounce it Neev, it's an old celtic name from an Irish fairytale. She'll be going to nursery five days a week 1 til 3:30 :woohoo: , my intention is to use this time to exercise but I may just sit on my fat bum, eat biscuits and watch the E channel:rotfl:

^^^ I adore you too. I still wish our trips overlapped. Missing by less than a month is painful.

:rotfl2: I think we were very similar teens. :scared1: I fear the protection talk may do my girls better than the abstinence one. ;) Loose and Jakey mums; what a combo!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I was pronouncing Niamh like Liam but with an n. I would have never guessed Neev and it's quite pretty. :thumbsup2

I used to tell myself when I was a SAHM that when the kids started school I would clean like mad, exercise, and be crafty. I gained 20 lb, scrapbooked a little, and my house was a mess. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: OMGosh Cherie, you kill me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's amazing that my family doesn't recognize me for the great talent that I am!;)

(how do you pronounce Niamh?)

I wondered the same thing!:thumbsup2

Your discussion of teenage girls is hitting close to home. I've recently discovered that my sweet little not quite 13 yr old angel...........has a 14yr old boy from Florida calling her all hours of the night!!!!:scared1: So , we took away the cell phone, to find out that she gave him our home #! So now it's 1130 p.m. and I'm up waiting for his call that's to come at midnight. It's to long of a tale of how I found out he's calling. Uggghhhh!

 I don't believe it....maybe they just hide their awe of you well;)

Poor girlie, she's going to spend her life saying "No you actually pronounce it Neeeev:headache: "....that's another bad mum award for me:rotfl2:

:scared: Oh $hit Winkers, I don't envy you honey. Girlies are a worry aren't they? Big D's just read this and he suggests breaking out the chastity belt and shooting the boy....that's only his opinion though and is not representational of the McDonald family's views as a whole:lmao:

:lmao:
Since we're more than 1,000 miles away from this boy, I'm not getting out the chastity belt...........yet!

:rotfl2:

Don't worry ladies once the girls are older I have a VERY usefully phrase that will put the girls off going too far with a boy. It worked on me so it must be good. Just let me know when you need to hear the story and I'll PM you...it's more effective than any threats of teenage pregnacy or diseases believe me:scared:

 Did she meet the boy at WDW? Online? How did you find out? I need all the helpful hints I can get so I can nail my kids when they are acting up. And he calls every night at midnight? What are you going to say to him?

I would love to hear said phrase! :flower3:

I think Chloe will be our challenge. :scared: She's a deep thinker and not at all fluffy like her sis. Her meds make her sullen and I am waiting for her to start dressing all in black. :guilty: We have been doing some talk therapy a few nights a week. Chloe needs that one on one and the connection. She doesn't spill her guts into the crowd; she's an old soul. I wish she were a happier old soul. :goodvibes She's a lot like her father; more an introvert than extrovert like her mama.

Oh poor Chloe:hug: , I was a Goth in my teens and did the whole vegie, depressed thing and I didn't have a good reason like your wee honey. Good job she's got such a wonderful mum and family to help her through the grotty feelings:grouphug: we can't all be :cheer2: all the time and :grouphug: do help

Bailie stayed at my brother's for 2 weeks after I came home, and he told me I should check out a couple of sites she was on. Tagged and my yearbook. I didn't even know they existed! So I got snooping.........she lost her cell phone because they were calling and texting all hours of the night.:confused3

:scared1: Yikes. I don't envy the day................. You've got my support. Did you talk to the kid when he called? What did Bailie say? :headache:

Kirsteen, I loved the PM!!!!!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Heck, it might make me celibate!!!! ;)

:thanks: for the support with Chloe. I did find her a cooking class to start. She's refusing to do any sports or musical instruments at this point in time but says she wants to be a chef and has said this since she was 3 y/o. I got online and found her a one time class for 9/20. :thumbsup2 She also expressed a little interest in joining the Girl Scouts so I just emailed them to send some info over. Keep your fingers crossed!!! :goodvibes

Good luck to little Niamh tomorrow in pre-school!!!!

Luckily the boy was smart and didn't call! Bailie realy didn't say anything because she knew she was already in deep .............cow dung. It's soooo hard! It's a good thing I only have one girl. I'm walking a fine line between setting boundaries and yet letting her have a little freedom. What I want to do is lock her in her room and invest in an electric chastity belt.;)

Hi guys!!

After 5300+ miles, we are finally home. Can't say I'm too happy about that though........:guilty:

We had a fabulous time!!! I  Jenny & her family and miss them sooooo much already!!

I'll have to read Jenny's Yellowstone trippie & add my details, but that'll be sometime tomorrow. Right now, I'm exhausted.;)

P.S. Jenny- wish the kids a happy 1st day of school!!:grouphug:

:scared1: OMGoodness! I'm sure that absolutely freaked you out! It sounds like you've handled the situation well, though. :thumbsup2 How's Bailie dealing with all of this?

Chloe sounds like a very cool, interesting kid. I know that in my part of the valley, there is a cooking school where kids can go every week and take a cooking lesson. It's probably too far for her to come, but if you're interested, I could send you the info.

Good luck to little Niamh tomorrow in pre-school!!!!

I second that! ::yes:: I love the pronunciation of her name--very beautiful!

Sounds like a plan...she could be Utah's answer to Gordon Ramsey:cool1: (minus the foul language of course!!!)

Good luck to little Niamh tomorrow in pre-school!!!! [/COLOR]

The wee wild one isn't starting pre-school until 11th September so I've got another two and a half weeks of tearing my hair out then :woohoo: , thanks for the :goodvibes I'm sure she'll absolutely love it.
