If the extra magic night hours stay would you change to a Disney resort?

I'm going to be there, onsite during the test, I can't wait! But I have a trip booked for the end of July/ begining of August at the Hyatt for $99/night govt. rate. I'm really excited to be staying there, it looks gorgeous! Before I booked that, I got a quote for POFQ from DU for the same time (no codes out yet) for $160/night! I could pay that much including resort fee for the Swan/Dolphin!!! Lots of people are waiting anxiously for the codes to come out, I don't need tickets, so the rumored 7 for 5 deal wouldn't work for me. I am travelling alot this year, so I want to spend around $100/night for this trip. Would you consider staying onsite (at a lesser resort) for the extra night hours perk?

They only way I would do that is if I got very good deal on a 2 bedroom suite. I would not stay at a lesser resort just to stay later in the parks. Just my opinion.:sunny:

Nope, kids get up early, and are tucked up in bed by 8pm, not worth it for us. On the other hand if we were kid free then yes sure would.

After thinking about it and talking it over with hubby...we're keeping our ressie at the Hyatt! We do have 2 kids, 10 and 7 (it's her 8th birthday we'll be spending there...shhhh) We have only stayed offsite once before, and love staying onsite, but couldn't resist this great deal. And we rarely stay out late in Disney, the sun and fun just wear us out! Thanks for all the imput!

You got a great resort for a great rate. I would not pass that up. I would consider staying onsite if they keep this up, though.

Nope.. I like accomodations with LOTS of room..:teeth:

No, I will adjust my park visits to avoid the early mornings and late evenings. The only reason I would stay onsite is if Disney offered "front of the line" like Universal, but that is not practical for them. So I will enjoy my cheap, spacious accomodations offsite.

May I ask what the 7 for 5 deal is? I guess I've missed this rumor.

Thanks,

I guess I have been out of touch. What is up with the 7 for 5 and the extra night hours.

On the resorts board there's a rumor that they'll do a Fairytale package like last year, but instead of 7 nights for the price of 4, it's going to be 7 for 5. It includes ultimate park hoppers.

The extra magic night hours are being tested in May.

I've decided not to worry about it, in fact, my ressies have changed again, I couldn't pass up Skyauction...Vistana 1br for 7 nights, $400! I wanted this to be a bargain trip, it just keeps getting better!:Pinkbounc

Way to go! Another great rate!

The evening hours would work out well for us. I do not get up early on vacation. I hate feeling rushed to get to an amusement park. We have never bothered to stay on site since we would not get to use the hour in the morning, now I might, but not for too many nights. I like my space, too.
