IF Obama doesn't win, will there be rioting?

I find all those talk about riots if Obama doesn't win really racists. Why doesn't anyone asks if there'll be rioting if McCain loses?

Why do you find this racist? Just because Obama is black? Obama would not be where he is if it wasn't for white people and other minorities. So when people are talking about rioting why would you assume people aren't talking about the white people? The reason some people think there could be rioting is he is expected to win. If he doesn't win some people could feel the election was stolen from him and riot.

Just curious - where are you located? I'm in downtown St. Paul, and don't see anything out of the ordinary at all?

I'm in downtown as well Just got back from a nice long 45 minute walk in the skyways!

The amount of police out on our way into work today (from WBL to downtown) and then I have definitely seen an increase downtown here.

My best friend lives in Lake Elmo and she was driving into Woodbury today and commented, too, on the amount of police she saw out everywhere.

I have to agree. Saying there will be rioting doesn't mean I am racist. Hell - during the RNC here the rioting was done by mainly whites. It's the ultra liberal people (of any color) that seem to fly off the handle when things don't go as they had wanted.

Isn't it likely that PERHAPS the police presence is due to hundreds/thousands of people out on the streets at one time? And the same presence would have been there if they were there for a sausage festival?

The police were at the polling place in my small town this morning. I don't think it's because they were anticipating riots. Maybe fistfights over ignoring "one day only" one-way traffic signs, but not riots.

Large numbers of impatient drivers trying to reach places they don't often visit that might have rerouted traffic for the day also tends to lead to road rage and fender benders (which require police reports)...

Some people don't need an excuse to start trouble. And it has nothing to do with race but with emotion.

Just look at the problems that have started after sporting events, all emotion driven.

What? This is not a party thing. I know both republicans and democrats that are worried about riots.
