Sorry to be away for a while Nicole...OMG I just love your "sandman" kits! What a fun idea!

So at our board meeting last night the librarian talks about an upcoming teen event called Divergent. I was like "oh I know what that is!"

I'm just so so so proud. Margarita AND wine in the same night! That's my tweedle! :drinking1

It's always crazy before a trip, it's so you can really relax and enjoy the trip. And drink. Always drink. I'm glad you have finally seen the light and realize the value. ;)

My poor tweedle. I have so neglected you this Month. I am sorry. I am so busy I don't even have time for witty barbs. It's a sad state when I can't find time for witty barbs. Must work on changing this.........

Ok, I finally finished Allegiant and I see what people are talking about. I didn't hate the ending, but I definitely was hoping for better.

Sorry you were so frustrated on Mother's Day! My DH works out of town and he wasn't even here. But, my DSS brought me flowers and he sweetest card that made me cry. He is graduating next Tuesday and I am going to do a happy dance when that day is over!

Exactly. I didn't hate the ending. I still thought it was well written.. It just wasn't how I would have personally chosen the book to end! And I'm telling you- they made a MESS with the movie. Have you seen it? Talk about a disappointing book to movie adaptation......:sad2:

Aww, that's sweet with the flowers. I think I just wanted a day 'off' (isn't that funny, on Mother's Day I wanted a day off!) Mostly because I'm so busy & stressed right now.. it's all compounding.... And it didn't happen.. and I still had butts to wipe & fights to referee... but I will say the gigantic margarita I had helped the mood.. and I do realize how blessed I am to be a mother. :cloud9: I struggled with loss before my oldest was born and I clearly remember that horrid first mother's Day after the loss and how bad that day CAN be for those who desperatly long to be a mother. I was just being petty and crabby (blame on the T.O.M)...and I got over it.....

Thank you. I'm kinda excited to build our own Olaf in the sand as well! I hope the kiddies like it!!

And no need for sorry's. We all know how crazy end of school year gets!! I'm lucky I'm still standing right now. I keep telling myself.. 16 days till I'm on a cruise...... ;)

:rotfl2: I am so glad I could help with this! Hahahahahahaha!!!

I'm still here! And I averted my eyes for as long as I could before checking out the cabin gift! I love it. Super handy.

Oh, and I forgot. The Olaf kits are a pretty cool idea. Definitely should be a hit. I love seeing what everyone comes up with.

As to the Divergent / Allegiant discussion, I believe I threw the book across the room at what she came up with for an ending. I'm okay with authors doing crazy stuff like that, but not when they do it halfway. I really felt like it was a halfway effort. She needed to wrap up the trilogy and just thought that would be easiest. Granted, that's just my opinion.

I think I'm the only person I know that is fully ok with that ending. I felt it was very real as it was a very short amount of time so Tris wasn't going to really change who she was at the core. It was foreshadowed from the beginning.

I subscribed to your thread weeks ago and just now finally got the chance to finish reading. :)

I love your report so far. I'm also a fan of Sparkle skirts and I own the black linen slim cut as well. I have one of the fuller cuts too, but I like the slim cut better. Looking forward to reading more!

Yes. Definitely a good point!

Thanks on the Olaf praise. :goodvibes

I think I was most upset because it didn't end how I wanted it to end. Not because I thought she was wrapping it up quick. I think if she went the 'easy' route.. it would have been treated like the stupid movie where everything was implied a happy ending..... (Yes, I referred to the movie as stupid!!!) :)

Yes, I agree- it was a 'real' ending. And you make a great point about that being foreshadowed.

Yhea! Welcome!!! Thanks for coming over!!

I like the slim cuts way better on me than the full cut. I find myself wearing my Black Linen all the time now. I am a full sparkle skirt convert! :thumbsup2

Miss you Tweedle! That is all.

Rey's coming home tomorrow and work is picking up, so I just wanted to get my Tweedle-fix before I disappear off the DIS again for a few days! 15 days, right?!?!?! :cool1:

Ugh. Now the movie was a real travesty.

oh my gosh!!! I LOVE your cruise gifts! those are going to be a huge hit!

sounds like you're planning more fun parties! I haven't read the divergent books yet, but I love planning a party! can't wait to see what you come up with!

Man oh man- it's busy around here! I'm exhausted and I still have 2 weeks of go/go/go till I board that cruise! No rest for the weary! Gotta keep on keepin' on! :thumbsup2

My weekly miles this week were low, as I knew they would be. I can't even find hours to eat and sleep.. so making time to run is almost impossible. I expect this trend to continue the next two weeks as well.

Monday- 2.10 miles at 12:30 pace
Tuesday- .75 miles then weather forced me in.
Wednesday- 3.25 miles at 12:15 pace
Thursday- 3.2 miles at 12:15 pace

Total miles: 9.30 miles.

Last week was 'tech' week for the ballet academy my daughter(s) belong to. They were performing King & I on Friday/Saturday. Rebecca had full dress rehearsal practice M-Thursday and then the three performances this weekend. Charlie was in the Saturday maitnee pre-show for her Music and Movement class.....

There are no words for the awe of what my oldest does. The academy she studies at is hard core. They are very, very strict and hard on their dancers (much like a professional company) and she puts in hours and hours of classes each week, all year long. Often putting aside time with her friends and other activities for dance.

And when she takes the stage, she shines. She has natural grace and beauty on stage that blows me away (her mother can't dance for her life, has absolutely no rythem & often trips over her own feet and walks into walls). Where she gets this poise and grace - I have no idea. But she's breathtaking on stage...and she just shined this week. I am so, so proud of her!!!

Leading the younger students backstage at warm-up. Becca is far left...

I do not have any 'stage' pictures as photography is prohibited. I only got these pictures because I volunteered in the dressing room at the last show on Saturday night and took illegal pictures with my iphone! :)

My little Siam Sailor. Very, very tired at the end of the Saturday night show.... (each show is 3 hours & there were three over two days)

With her friends

And with her very best friend.....

As for the little one. This was her first year dancing at this studio. In the toddler class. She apparently possesses the same dancing qualities as her mother and not her sister..... needless to say- we are moving her from the academy and into park district classes instead as those classes focus more on fun rather than technique/strictness-

Although she was adorably cute in every way. And that's all that matters at that age anyways! :)

She loved these flowers. And she earned them well by facing the complete wrong way for most of her performance! (I'm talking back to the audience people, it was hilarious) :rotfl2:

They did a little pre-show number before the King and I. She danced to Do Ri Me (from sound of Music). I use the word dance lightly.... ;)

But here's an awesome picture anyways......right before going on stage.

So stinkin' cute!

In other big news was... she lost her first tooth last week! BIG DEAL.

She had no clue what to do & threw it away. We sent Sarah into the garbage to retrieve it. Then she got some money to buy her M&M's!

So anyways- another extremely busy week with 6th grade dinners, Scout events, getting ready for Becca's Divergent Party on Friday, Becca's birthday onSaturday along with finishing up Fish Extender items for the cruise and starting to pack........ I'm tired just thinking about it! :crazy2:

Least we get a 2 week break from dance before summer classes start up. I say 'we' like I dance. Which I don't. I just carpool back and forth. Ha! :)

Have a good one!

Oh don't both of your girls look lovely. I'm very impressed with Miss Becca. Yep, I tried to get Victoria into the whole dance routine, but with her back issues, it just didn't happen. She tried, bless her heart, but she just couldn't keep up with the others in her age group. Oh no, poor Charlie dancing back to the audience. It must have been so stinking cute, though. The little ones are always fun to watch!

Yay for the tooth fairy! I'm surprised her big sisters didn't tell her what to expect and what to do, but good for the lizard loving Sarah to get right in the rubbish to fish it out! I so like that kid! ::yes::

So, you are just a little busy lately, huh? And a cruise coming up? I am very happy I am not you right now, but you are extremly creative and full of energy so I'm sure you will handle this all fine! Oh, hasn't Karen convinced you to come to Playlist Live 2015 yet?? What's another trip, right? Becca would love us!!! :hyper:
