I have a friend currently planning her trip. She has a 5 year old son and a 4 year old daughter and basically has an unlimited budget for this trip. My first reaction was Contemporary because of the fireworks view but I did not know what to tell her to specifiy the MK view. If this was your trip - which resort would you choose and where would you request for the room location? Are there any deluxe resorts with suites?

the Polynesian, GF and CR all have suites.

but with the polyn don't think they are in the Hawaii - which has some excellent views of the fireworks. but in the Tonga building - just not sure.

the Hawaii is the concierge.

love the MK view in the Tahiti at the Polyn.

CR has parking lots and MK views - plus Polyn, and GF - so really can't complaint.

also has concierge and suities at the top.

have no idea where the suites are at the GF.

The POLY- LVC in the hawaii bldg. Some of the best views in WDW. The castle lit up at nite and wishes from the balconies!

Frankiesmom, where in Rochester do you live? We're in Greece. I have a friend Angel with a son named Frankie and they love Disney, could it be you???

AKL concierge and I don't care about the view. But that's just me.

I believe you can purchase an MK view at the Contemporary.

I asked my husband this exact question for our upcoming trip. He said if money was no option ~ Rent an Animal Kingdom Villa with a Savannah view.

Now when I asked my teenage DDs they wanted OKW or SSR.

I've stayed at CSR, GF a thousand times, and YC once. I've done concierge at GF and it was nice. The suite at YC was really great, and we loved CSR for a quick trip last spring. I've always wanted to stay @ Poly and over Easter my family is going and we are trying the Poly CLV!!! I've always wanted to try the BWI and AKL, too. I would say YC or GF based on experience if money is no problem.

If money was no object I would pick GF - Club Level.... what an experience that would be... SIGH

Wow. . .I HATE the decor at GF. . .just my HO. . .anyway, all the other deluxes appeal to me. . .My personal choice (but not my son's) would be a suite at AKL. . .I love animals and love looking at them from my balcony. I thought my son would prefer resorts next to Epcot and DHS. . .but NO, he wants to go to the CS. During our timeframe, there are no STD views available. . .only MK views. . ."darn". . .lol

BWV with a view down onto the Boardwalk would be my favorite, followed closely by CR with a Magic Kingdom view.

The view in the latter is really quite sweet, and it's a joy to sit on the balcony to watch the castle and the fireworks.

The variety of opportunities that are open to you on the Boardwalk, and the villa rooms make a very nice combination.

If money were no object, I would buy a bunch of DVC points and get a 3BR grandvilla at any of the DVC places that have them.

I'd go with Poly MK view. With young kids, your friend will enjoy having the ease of the monorail. Poly has great restaurants, great pool, great transportation.

If the monorail doesn't appeal to her, then I'd go with an Epcot resort. BC is our personal favorite. The pool may be one of the best in Disney and you can walk to both Epcot and HS. My personal preference on a room view would be one of the boardwalk/water. It's amazing lit up at night.

I wouldn't do GF with young kids, because there isn't anything for them to do there. I'd pick Poly if you want fireworks, or the Beach Club because the pool's amazing for kids and adults, and you can see Epcot fireworks from there.

With unlimited funds, we would book a suite at Grand Floridian Royal Palm Club.

we are epcot fans and to us there is no better than a view from the yacht club over looking the lake.

I would choose Poly-MK view also. I think that resort has the best view in all of WDW. You can watch wishes everynight right from your balcony :goodvibes
