If I rented points from someone, how do i

confirm the reservation? I rented at the AKl, I tried to call them directly but that was a no go. Is there any way to double check the reservation?

Disney Vacation Club Member Services will not speak with renters or give them any information. They won't take a room request from you; they won't confirm you have a reservation.

Some people have said they called the resort 3-4 days before check-in and were able to confirm their ressie.

You should have the owner mail you a copy of the reservation. Of course, that is never a guarantee since theoretically they can cancel any time before your arrival. There are some very good threads here on our DVC Boards regarding renting and you should definitely check them out. Remember, you have rented from the owner, not from AKL or Disney. Good luck!

Ya I have read that info! ANd I knew that DVC wouldn't talk to me ( I didn't even bother to call them) but I wasn't sure if AKL would confirm the reservation or not..

The resort will not have access to the reservaton information until a few days prior to your arrival. Until that time, your only confirmation must come from the person from whom you are renting.
