If I have the land/sea package can I still request a room location?

It's been my understanding that cruiser's are usually placed in the same location at any given resort. Is this true? If so, could I still make my own request? Has anyone done this? I have a bad knee and would need to be close to the food court and a bus stop. What do you all think? Thanks:confused:

We were booked on the land/sea in Nov '00 and had our TA request that we be placed in the Swan. When our docs came in we were in the Dolphin. We contacted the Swan/Dolphin directly and they took care of our request. They even gave us an upgrade because of the mix-up and it most likely wasn't their fault. I seem to remember them saying that the land/sea room are in blocks but we managed to get our request so it is worth a call.

Karen T,
We too are doing the Land/Sea, so I can only tell what I've learned from other sites, not what I have done, yet. Cruise people or booked in a standard room, but you can make a request for a certain building or village, not an upgraded room. You may want to check on WDWig.com, it has a section about requests,( who and where and when to send it). When are you going?

When we did the land and sea package we were at POFQ. We were told that all cruise people had to be in building "3". I wanted another building and asked to speak to a manager. He said because they come in to get the luggage everyone needs to be in the same building and would not let us move. Don't know if this is the same policy everywhere or not.

We arrive at the CBR on February 6th and depart for our cruise on the 9th. I didn't purchase the transfers, so they do not need to take our luggage with everyone else's so that might work for me. I might call the CBR myself and see what they tell me.

We did a land/sea and asked to be in the mansions at POR and our request was honoured. I don't know if that was because it was the 7 day cruise and the land part was added on at a later date or not.

We did the 4/3 land sea at the Poly in May, 2002. I requested a a room and a building. We were placed in Tokelau 1913 (I think -- I'm doing this from memory), which was a great standard room with view of the lagoon and the GF. We were really happy with the location. It never hurts to ask; just try not to be disappointed by having your request become an expectation.

No matter what, the Poly is terrific and a 6+ cabin is too!

We will be staying at the Beach Club as part of a land/sea pkg.

Does anyone know where the "cruisers" are placed and if there is anything we can ask for to get the best room in this area?

I know some of their rooms are recently redone and I definitely want one of these! Anything else I should know???

Thanks! You are all great!

We went on the 4/3 land/sea in Nov. 2001 and stayed at the CR. We were told that if we wanted a special room/view that we should call the resort ahead (I think it was 48 hours, DH handled this part so I am not sure). We called and asked for an MK view, which we received. It was awesome.

It doesn't hurt to call and ask, but I would call the resort directly rather than central reservations.

Hope this helps!
