If I bought into DVC today through disney, what are my chances of getting a reservation for Christmas week????

That is one for which you will not know the answer until you ask. If I were considering that possibility, I would talk to the sales rep and see if it will be possible before actually signing.

At this late date, pretty slim, but it depends on what size unit and WHERE. I suspect there is SOMETHING available yet, but what size unit could be a big question. Since many people are already waitlisted, I would think there will be difficulty.

I think if you are flexible and waitlist for the size unit you want at for any resort you stand a good chance. I was able to move reservations around and got waitlists within the last 4 months before Christmas last year but I was not fussy about which resort. As time goes on there will be cancellations, rooms may be added to inventory at SSR and AKV so it will open up some space and fill some waitlists.

Your best shot will be a 1 bedroom.

If you are looking for a NYE reservation as part of your week, that may be difficult at any resort in any size unit as that supposedly is the highest demand single night in the DVC system. I would ask. Good luck!
