Got my dues today. I will mail it off tomorrow. If I get to WDW on my 1-23-06 check in, and either through mail problems and they have not recieved it or it has not been put in the system yet, will they let me check in?

I really would rather not pay by credit card,

Our statement says that "this bill is past due on Feburary 15, 2006" So as you will not be past due, you should be ok.

My understanding is that the annual maintenance fees must be current before you can check in for a stay. Not a problem if you pay via the monthly debit, but it can be an issue for those of us who pay in a lump sum.

My advice is to call Member Accounting and see what they say. If you mai your check tomorrow, it certainly should arrive and be credited to your account prior to January 23.

Best wishes -

If you have a debit card you can pay online.

Just a thought...

To be certain they receive it on time, you can mail it via priority mail or Fedex. Then you can trace it if for some reason they don't have it within a week.

On the back side, our statements state:
"For those members not enrolled in the Automatic Payment Program via monthly direct debit, payment is due in full by the Payment Due Date, and considered past due the earlier of check-in at any of the Disney Vacation Club resorts, or after the Past Due After date."

Payment is due by January 15 - if your check-in is prior to that date, you should be fine. If it's after that date and payment has not been received it could hinder your ability ot check-in since it would be past due either at check-in or Feb 15, whichever comes first.

We are staying at the Grand Californian on points. Check in January 12th and check out January 16th. Member Accounting advised me to pay our dues since we would be staying the night of the 15th. I would hate to get thrown out of my room for the night! ;)

We used to travel prior to January 15th, and always paid via check when we checked in at OKW. Though it would "technically" be late for you to pay on the 23rd, why not call member accounting and ask what their preference would be...maybe you can pay when you get there and not have to worry about it getting lost in the mail.

Hmm, this is something I didn't even think of. We are taking our first trip home Jan 12 - 19. We have not yet paid our dues and were planning on sending them out the end of the month (take advantage of a little bit of the grace period). Is this going to present a problem during our stay??

I believe it will present a problem.

The statements must be different in Canada. Mine reads as WebmasterDoc points out.

Richard - You'd better pay up just to be safe. I spoke to my guide tonight and she said to avoid problems at check-in on January 28th, my dues must be paid prior to then. They are actually LATE after January 15th

I have not recieved my dues yet and I checked online and nothing is there either. I check into the Disneyland Hotel on Tueday for 7 nights. Any ideas what i should do?

Whe you went to the member sight did you click on the dues link (I think it is in red). Should be there look again!

Otherwise, call member accounting and they will take your credit card information over the phone (that's what I did).
