If DU made my reservation....

can I call myself about an AP rate? Apparently my agent didn't try for a discount for us today. I will have to try to figure out why not, but right now I am wondering if I can try myself? I am hoping it won't be too late.

You may need to make a separate reservation. Not sure that you could apply it yourself to DU ressie.

Did you contact DU agent to see what was going on? Maybe your travel dates were an issue. Or maybe the site wasn't updated yet. I know Sue Ellen emailed me immediately about the problems due to blackout dates. She gave me options. When I went on DU site later only one of our resort information had changed. I emailed her and it was just not entered in yet.

I would find out what happened; but if you are concerned try calling yourself and making a new ressie if you can.

Thank you for your reply, Jodi. I do have an email out to my DU agent to see what happened since I sent an email as recently as last night letting her know I was interested in the AP rates and had heard here that they may be released soon.

I will try to call myself in the morning and see how I make out.

I think that if a TA makes a reservation for you, they "own" the reservation so you won't be able to make any changes to it... If you're really worried, you could always call and book the room yourself. I *think* you can then transfer that reservation with the AP rate over to your agent and cancel the original one... I'm just assuming that you could do that since I've read that DU can take over reservations that you make yourself. Better check with your agent first though ;)
 
If Du made it than only DU can change it. If your convinced that your agent is not working in your best interest, then you will need to cancel with them and try to book the discount rate yourself.

My DU agent, Carole, sent out an email for all of her clients about the new codes, letting us know that she would try to get discounts and to let her know how flexable you were in your dates to get maximum savings.

I didn't need it as she had got the email rate applied to my ressie earlier, and this new code is for the same rates.


I've beed pleased with DU so far. Hang in there, I'm sure that your agent will come thru for you.

I am shocked to hear that your agent told you he/she didn't at least try to secure the AP rate for you.
