If anyone has an extra $250 just laying around...

According to the link, each box has 235 grams, for a total of 2,820 grams which is right about 6¼ pounds. Counting shipping, this brings the price to about $42 per pound, which is in line for very high quality chocolates.

(Sorry, but I'm an accountant and like to play with numbers.)

LOL, I am totally on board with that, CF!

There is a wonderful chocolate shop down by my sister in IN (DeBrand) and I happily pay $3.00 and up for a single piece ~ worth every penny! :cloud9:

However to hand over $250 all at once on it, is probably not something I would do even if they were outstanding. :)

OMG....Yummmm!!!!!

The place is nuts the week of Valentines day. We have an account that always sends the girls in our office the 1lb sampler box for Christmas, the men are not allowed to touch it.

And in the fall when they do their Ginormaours carmel apples....you gain a pound just by looking at the thing. I have only had their hot chocolate once and it was pretty darn good, too.

The store on Coldwater Rd is finally reopen. Haven't been there since the fire and reopening, though.

You do know, you can order on-line from them...just so you don't have to wait to come visit your sis. :rolleyes1

Have you tried the "Ultimate" drink? Holy Cow!! It was around $6 last year I think for one but it is so decadent! It's sort of like a float type drink but that really doesn't do it justice. I'm getting a sugar rush just thinking about it, LOL. :rotfl:

I did know about the online ordering although I haven't done it yet. I did sign up for the email list though, it's torture to open those!

There is a Leonidas shop around the corner from my office - they have these boxes displayed in their window.

FWIW, their chocolate is TERRIBLE - coverture does not taste that good, and the interiors are always hard as a rock, like they filled the truffles 2 weeks ago. I think they say they fly the chocolates in regularly, but yeah, right.

My co-worker, however, thinks these are the be-all and the end-all - she always buys them.

Forget Mickey styling, go to Teuscher if you want good chocolate!
