For us, we have the standard code clue for cardiac arrest or respiratory arrest. Code purple is a pediatric code. We also had a code rescue for patients who aren't a code yet, but don't look right.
Code orange is a baby delivered without a doc present, means for any OB to go there. Code Adam is an abduction. Code green is a violent patient or visitor. Code 512 somebody had a fall.
And the favorite one is code brown for severe weather. We laugh so much about the code brown. We joke it is a total $&@! Storm.
Code black is an internal disaster of some sort. Have never heard it called.
The only places which don't call a code blue are the emergency room and the operating room. For us the units will still call codes.
