my computer won't let me register here under my sig as she's already done it

do you just mean that Smiler is already there when you log-on to this site which is why you can't post as Bovril?

If you go to the front page of the boards, scroll right to the bottom, under all the users on line bit, and there is a bit that says "Log Out". If you do that, the Smiler name will go, and you'll be given the opportunity to sign in or register as yourself
