We were planning on doing a week at vb in june, but were only able to get in for M-W as such we were able to score 2 nights at Kidani. I am sure we will spend a day at the pool, if it is open. Curious what you would do with the other day. I would prefer not to spend the money on park tickets for one day at a crowded time of the year. Like I said this was suppose to be a beach trip. Thoughts on other things to do. We have already done ripleys and the upside down house/building thing... thanks.

subscribing...we're getting kind of tired of the parks but booked a Kidani trip to see the new resort itself.

I'd take a tour of various deluxe resorts. Take a bus to MK and then do the four hotels in that area. From there, take the bus from any of those resorts to DS, hop on the boat and check out the different EPCOT resorts. If time permits and you haven't stayed at SSR or OKW, a bus to Downtown Disney will set you up nicely to view both of them as well!

Enjoy.

We do non-park trips all the time. Here's some things that we do:

Resort-hop(sometimes get tasty adult beverages from lounges/pool bars)

Shop at the different gift shops at those resorts

DTD(movie at the AMC theaters)

Dinner show(HDDR, Luau, etc.)

High Tea at GF in the late afternoon:thumbsup2

Mini-golf(putt-putt)

Pool lounging

Read a good book in the lobby and people-watch

Rent a boat

I'm sure you'll be able to add to this list after your trip. Have fun!

Horseback riding

Exploring FW

Spa treatments

Parasailing

Hanging out at DTD and shopping/people watching

Movie at DTD

Other resorts : walk from POFQ to POR &/or take boat to Downtown Disney, see Yeeha Bob's show at POR at River Roost Lounge usually there on Friday & Saturday & maybe another night or two each week - definitely worth price of a cocktail !, walk or rent bicycle from OKW to SSR or take boat (continues on to Downtown Disney). Rent a boat from any of above mentioned resorts too. Evening poolside movie at SSR and also check out daily activities at Community Hall's at SSR, OKW, BW - there are sometimes events for adults
( ie ceramics, floral arrangement class - fee is charged for these ).

Pool hop to other DVCs ( not permitted at Stormalong Bay at BCV ).

Mini-golf, golf ( at least one course on property has a driving range IIRC ).

Off property nearby : visit Celebration community just south of Disney property, Florida Nature Conservancy parkland is nearby too

and you may be able to get free passes to Kennedy Space Center from your local Congressman (check their website or call their local office ) - usually need to allow about 6 weeks to receive.
