I read on the hint thread that some folks have used magnets to "mark" their door so their kids can find their stateroom. Any body have any cute suggestions as to what they do?

I know that Verandah Man makes his own sheet magnets, as opposed to using refrigerator magnets. Only problem is theft.

You could put you family picture on the sheet magnet. Our sheet magnets have a paper, you remove the paper and the adhesive lets you put any thing you want on there. We will be putting our family Christmas pic on there for our door, mostly for me! Who would want to steal a pic of your family?

I had a magnetic message board on our door, and everyday some adolecent girls would write some strange messages on it (they had the feel of being rude, but not stated out-right, if that makes sense) ... We caught them in the act onetime, and about 3/4 through the trip, someone just stole the board. So don't put up anything that you would miss.

If you live near a homehardware I believe it was, you can pick up the paint chips for the Disney Paint that are stickers shaped in a mickey head. You could use those with perhaps some ribbon and put your children (or your family) name on the door?

Hope this helps!

We had magnets stolen from our door on the 1/31/04 Magic Western. I had 2 Mickey Mouse magnets I'd gotten from the dollar store and 4 magnets a generous DIS'er had sent me. I was going to give 3 to another DIS'er. 3 were stolen our first night so I put the others on the inside of our door. I really didn't want to lose all of them. MY DH had warned me that it would happen and I didn't want to believe it. Naive aren't I!

For a birthday cruise for our Mom, so we tied BD ribbons around the fish mail holder by the door. For our Christmas cruise we decorated the door with peel off Christmas clingies. Too cute and made it great for telling exactally which door was ours. :D

One of these days, I might get a magnet stating "The Barb & Tony Suite" for the door of 5650. We're in my favorite stateroom several more times this year, so that would be fun. But I guess it would be pointless, since I could find my room in my sleep!
Hubby and I had t-shirts made with the round 5650 on them (we took a photo of the door). That way, if we ever do manage to get lost, they will know where to return us.

we bought Disney stickers at the craft store and used laminated paper (5x7 photo sized) and put our DIS boards name on. Attached sticky magnet strips on the back and we're good to go. Maybe having "a" name on their helped keep it on our door?

Worked fabulously - you'd think it'd be easy to find your room, but it's amazing how every floor/room looks alike
