Spending a few days at WDW with DH, DS16 and DD14. The 'boys' will spend our last full day at IOA (checking into Hard Rock early that day to get FOTL privileges). DD and I don't care to go there as we are not roller coaster fans. We'd just like to spend our last full day at WDW and are planning on visiting many of the resorts (GF and WL are our must sees) to see the decorations. I'm guessing we might run into MK that morning for one last hurrah.

Do where should I plan to have lunch? I was thinking maybe of making a ressie at GF Cafe (we're on DxDP).

Anyone have any great ideas? We already have ADRs at Citricos, Hacienda, Flying Fish and Jiko (so that we can see AKL). Staying at BC.

GF Cafe is a good one, or there is Artist Point at the WL, because you are on the DxDP. Artist Point is great because you can have a view of the resort and bay lake while you eat. The food is great too. GF Cafe is beautiful as well.

It's not on the dining plan, but tea at the Grand Floridian is lovely and a very nice thing to do for a mother/daughter activity. It's pretty, relaxing and the food is usually good too. The tea is delicious. If you are celebrating something special ;)(or just some special mother daughter time), they bring you a rose to celebrate as well.

If you want to stick with a restaurant, and are visiting the GF anyway, I would stick with the GF Cafe. It is lovely in there and the food is good, although depending on the crowds, etc. not always exactly quaint. Kona Cafe in the Polynesian is a nice place for lunch too, if the menu appeals to you and just a quick boatride over to the Polynesian from the GF.

Enjoy your time! It sounds so nice!

Thanks to both of you. I've thought about the tea but am not sure still about that. Didn't think that Artist Point was open for lunch but I do like that idea (have never eaten there) and also like the Kona idea as we had a great meal there with a big group in 2003.

Any other thoughts from others?

My mom and I always have a mother/daughter day in Disney, it's so fun! The past two years we've eaten at Kona and The Wave for lunch. I think those are both good options.. both meals were delicious. Good luck deciding!

Personally I don't find GF cafe that special. Have you thought about Chefs de France? They have an awesome lunch menu, and World Showcase has plenty of fun shopping to do afterwords if that is up your alley, the new perfume shop is supposed to be a treat.

I hadn't given the Contemporary (Wave) a thought but it's definitely one to consider. And I actually woke up this morning thinking "Maybe we should try Chefs de France for our luncheon as it really looks quaint.

Now I can have some fun deciding! Thanks all.

I'd skip the parks and going to the SSR spa for a treatment and then have lunch at the Turf Club there. It's a great little hidden gem of a restaurant and who doesn't like a spa treatment? My daughters in law and I do this every time we vacation there together.
