Ideas for lanyards?

Okay my thrifty minded friends. I recently purchased 2 inexpensive lanyards for our young children for their pins. Not very happy with them, however don't want to spend a fortune on a cute one. Has anyone found inexpensive lanyards anywhere or come up with a creative way to make them? Thanks for helping!

SOME of the lanyards at WDW are VERY expensive, but not all of them. When we took a second look, we found some that were, I think around $5. They came in several colors, had the Disney logo, and some of them even had a plastic pouch at the bottom for holding an ID (Not positive I'd want to put a park ticket in there, but about that size). WE found the less expensive lanyards in the pin shop next to Country Bear Jamboree in MK.

I got mine at the Disney Outlet store. It was years ago and I don't remember what I paid but it was probably a couple of dollars. I am cheap.

Take money to buy a package of pin backs!!! This is most important with kids you want their pins to be stuck to the lanyard and for some odd reason their favorite pins will have sloppy backs that let the pin fall of the lanyard??
