ideas for a 1st bday party for our princess

The candy bar got me thinking about things that would be cute for our princess's 1st birthday party. We don't have a theme really, just lots of pinks and purples. Any ideas on what else we can do to make it fun? I'm going to serve appetizer type food and we will do the candy bar. Any budget friendly ideas?

Our neighbor just had their 1 yr old party and i must say it was brilliant

She did a milk and cookies party.

They had it as a brunch which made total sense. They got "fancy" clear plastic bowls and had a buffett of cereals and milk. She did 2 large breakfast cassarole and a bunch of quick pop-roll biscuits, with like 3 different butters she made (cinnamon, honey and apple) and some different jellies.

I was really cute !

She did up a few little things, like she got some mini old fashioned milk bottle with white labels for ppl to write their names on their own lil milk bottle and she got back and white twril paper straws, too cute !

You could do a cake that looks like a giant order.

I don't think it cost her too much, and it really kept the focus off the fuss of decorations and party bags.
