Idea -- Rather than a pin exchange

How about a Pin Grab Bag?
Give a deadline for pins to reach one person. Participants mail a pin and a buck for postage/label. ($ sent under separate cover or in a packlng list type insert, carefully hidden from view on the outside.)
All LBE's go to one person. (ehem -- Peggie? )
That person logs in the LBE's, rips off the labels.
At a pre-determined time, they mail an LBE to a participant.
Unopened. No one knows whats in it.
No one is left out in the cold...

I think, though, that Peggy is busy getting ready for her spring swap, so she might want to wait.

I might even volunteer to coordinate it if there's enough interest.

I like it! And think it would be nice if Peggy got a break and someone else (Ashley?) coordinated.

Anybody else think it's a cool idea? Like being at a pin meet, but not traveling to get there!

That does sound like a great idea. I am doing the swap right now, all the letters go out on April 20 and the pins will be mailed out by April 27th. It might be too late to do what you suggest now, but the next time would be good.
Ashley if you want to try I can give you hints to keep things organized. I do the swap about every 4 months because I found that when I tried to do it sooner than that people were not interested.
So I will write you in the summer about the swap and maybe we can work on it together. Peggie

Thanks Peggie! I'm sure I'd be able to use the help. I'd agree to wait a bit before trying this one right now. I'm doing yours (well, getting ready to) and one other currently. So I'd be willing to coordinate, but wouldn't participate.
