When we cruised on the DCL for our honeymoon in 1998 my DH brought his license and his citizenship papers and had no problem - but that was prior to 9/11. I don't remember if he brought his birth certificate with him, but I tend to think not as we don't have a copy of it.

Do the two forms of ID have to be a birth certificate and a picture ID or can it be 2 forms of picture ID? Say a license and a job picture ID (my DH works for BCBSRI)?? I was trying to make matters simple and just get a passport, but you need a birth certificate for that.

Please let me know because I want to get the ball rolling on this and I don't want to wait until the last minute and not have the right ID.

Thanks for your help.

If i remember correctly, Dave has a link on his site that describes the necessary documents you need. Look under Dave's external links, and you might find what you need.

I do know that a photo ID from work will probably not be an acceptable form of ID.

DCL requires proof of citizenship. Most people use their birth certificates... but if your DH has citizenship papers, those should do the trick.
