My family (me early 50s & 3 20-something kidults) will be at Disney on 12/6 & 12/7. We are staying at SOG and will have military park hopper tickets. We are trying to see & do as much as possible in our short time here. We are coming from 2 days at Universal. Here's what I'm thinking:
12/6 (monday) - check into SOG as early as possible, BUT we may not get there until 10am, head to AK, then hop to Epcot (extra evening hours)
12/7 (tuesday) - early entry to HS, then hop to MK in the afternoon. My concern with this is MK normal hours are 9qm - 8pm because MVMCP is happening that night, and I'm not sure 2pm - 8pm will give us enough time.
I'm not sure I want to spend the $209/person for the MVMCP. Is the party worth the extra $$$?
This is a special trip as I won't see 2 of the 3 kids for another year because of their military commitments.
Thank you,

I would try to find more time for MK. If you can truly spring for MVMCP , then yes, do it. I did the party once in 2019 (with some kids and "kidults" also lol), and while I probably wouldn't do it again, the fact we did experience it makes the difference.
Maybe take a short break between HS and MK (since the party runs late and you will have started your day so early).

You have a tight schedule. I think you need the extra time with MK doing the MVMCP. The party will get you on more rides quicker, too. Also, you can spend a little more time in HS that way if you want to do it before hopping over to MK.

I can understand your desire to see as much as possible however I would not try to go crazy. I would make a list of can't miss attractions for your family and plan on seeing them. I don't want to sound like a downer but it usually takes more time than planned to hop from one park to another. We are "hoppers" so I'm not saying to not hop, I'm just stressing how important it is to leave enough time in your plans to do so. The party sounds like a great idea for the amount of time you have. I big thank you to your family for serving our country. Have a great trip and enjoy the time together.

It seems like you’re doing the two ride-heavy parks on the same day- could you start at HS and then hop to Epcot for late- night? That way you have easier travel and can stay longer at HS. Then start at AK, because they open early, and end at MK. Most people recently think AK is a half day park, so you’d be able to do it all and definitely be ready to hop immediately at 2.

I thought about starting at HS, but my concern is if we can’t get there until 10ish, what are the chances of getting on rides without waiting in long stand by lines. I guess this is where ILL & Genie+ Would come into play.

It Does make sense to lump AK & MK on the same day, this way if I don‘t want to do MVMCP we have a better chance of getting in a bunch of rides. Thanks!
