Sorry, that doesn't sound very nice! We plan on bringing some beer and soda on board with us in a soft sided cooler. My DH will carry his soda in one and I will carry the beer in mine. I recall someone posting that you couldn't have ice in it to bring it on board. If anyone has returned recently and brought coolers on board, could you let me know if you had them filled with ice?

We would like to have a COLD drink when we get on board, and even though it's the thing to have room temp beer in Europe, I'm from the good ol' USA and want my beverages cold. My DH will only drink his soda practically frozen, so we will want our stuff on ice before we get on board so they are ready for when we get there.

Just ask you room host/hostess for ice. No problem! You can get cups at the deck 9 beverage station for the soda. The beer is a different situation. You may just want to put them on ice when you get to your room and buy 1 or 2 cold ones from the bar.
However, I really do not think anyone would say anything if you were to carry on a small soft sided cooler with ice in it, unless the bag was leaking :p . So put the ice in a zip lock and carry on you cold drinks!

I think the major objection to coolers is the large ones filled with drinks/ice that people use to check with their luggage.I also think this was more a problem with the luggage people (who are not Disney) then anything else.

In our cruise paperwork for the 9/7 eastern, it said no coolers allowed on board, so if you're going to do it, better be discreet!:D
