I called about this for our first upcoming trip to WDW. We were disappointed to be told it was no longer being done.

We went to it in May 2004 & had a great time.

By May 2005, when we returned, it was gone.

The ice cream social was at The Garden Grill restaurant in Epcot. It was just like a character meal but instead of a meal, it was just dessert. And actually, when we were there, DS8 was really hungry so we were able to order food for him.

Chip, Dale, & some others would come around & visit just like any other character meal & we actually got quite a bit of time with them.

For $6.99, each person got a really large ice cream dessert (we could not even finish it), making this the least inexpensive character dining on property.

We were sooo excitied to do the social on our last trip. Needless to say we were very disappointed to find out it went the way of Mr. toad's.
