Ice Cream Social at Garden Grill

Has anyone ever done this? What characters are there? Any info would be appreciated!

we did this on our last trip back in November. We really enjoyed it...the characters were the typcial Disney characters...Mickey, Pluto, Chip, Dale. (Can't remember if Goofy or Minnie were there....) The restaurant really impressed us becasue our daughter has a dairy allergy. So, I called in advance and they said it would be no problem just to call the day before to remind them. The chef came out and personally delivered my daughters "ice cream" sundae (made with Rice Dream) she was sssooo excited that a place actually had her "special" ice cream that we have at home! It really made for a Disney magic moment!

The ice cream social is a fun and inexpensive way to cool down, relax and meet Mickey, Chip, Dale and Pluto. They each came to the table twice except for either chip or dale (I dont' remember which one). They played peekaboo with our daughter and she thought that was great. We have a lot of great video and pictures from the Icecream Social.

The kid's icecream was cute (scoop if icecream decorated like a face with a cone on top like a hat surrounded by gummy candy if I remember correctly, I'll have to pull out some pictures) and it was good. Our icecream was good too. The booths were high so we didn't feel like we were sitting on top of other people so we had "privacy" at the table. The platform revolves which was fun too. Our server was very attentive and kept coming over asking if we needed more drinks, etc. and she kept checking to make sure the characters had been to our table. My husband and I feel that it was worth it and we will definitely do it again. I hope this helps you. And if you decide to go, enjoy!

The Garden Grill also hosts an Ice Cream Social afternoons at 3, 3:10, and 3:20 p.m. The cost is $6.99 plus tax and gratuity per person (same charge for children or adults). Mickey comes around and joins in the fun!_ This is a great way to see Mickey and usually is not crowded.

The Ice Cream Social was great. The characters came around at least three times. The ice cream was great. I do not like vanilla ice cream so I asked out waitress for chocolate and that was not a problem. I had read on these boards that you could not get chocolate and you can.

We liked this much better than Chef Mickey's for dinner. My kids are such pills and did not like the food.

I have pictures of the ice cream for kids and adults. Not sure how to add a picture.
