ice cream social at EPCOT

Hi, and welcome to the DIS.

The ice cream social takes place at the Garden Grill in Epcot. Basically, it is ice cream and character interaction. You are served an ice cream sundae (it was really good, too) and the characters come to your table for pictures. It's like a character meal, but just the dessert. You can make PS for it by calling the regular # to make PS (407- WDW-DINE, I think). There are only a few seatings for the ice cream social, and they are all in the afternoon. If I remember correctly, the cost was about $7 per person.

It is 3pm at the garden grill with Mickey, Pluto, CHip & Dale in farmer's outfits. The icrecream is good & enormous & the character interaction is great. This is also the place you can rehitch- a sort of renew your wedding vows with your server as official & certificate at the end. Certainly if you want a character meal on the cheap - this is the one to go for.

We were fortunate enough to get in w/o a PS. I just went up @ 3:00 and asked if they had any cancels or no shows and they let us right in.

I think it was about $7 each ~ DD2 was given a free baby scoop. It was a great surprise for the kids ~ We will definately do it again!
