Ice cream for child with peanut allergy?

Just back and I double checked the ingredients on the Mickey bars, not just for DS, but for you too. No peanuts!

If asked will they get an entirely new scoop to get the ice cream at the Ice Cream Parlor? We have always tried to find the soft serve when we are out because I worry that the scoop will, or already has contaminated the other ice cream. Have others had success with ice cream scooped from large containers? Maybe I am being too careful about that one.

when we find a scoopable sorbet/ice at an ice cream place--Disney or otherwise--which our milk-allergic son can have,
we ask them to wash the scoop and to scoop from a "virgin" area to avoid any milk contamination.

There may be times someone who works scooping ice cream is not necessarily the brightest knife in the drawer--I usually end up having to supervise exactly what I mean. The willingness has never been a problem, anywhere.
