IATAN rates, add ons?

Hi,

My husband works for a large travel agency and has a valid IATAN card. We would like to book a travel agent rate room for WDW. We know that we can also get discounted park tickets, but can't seem to figure out from Disney's travel agent site if we are able to call and add things like dining plan or magical express. Does anyone know if you can add those things to a travel agent rate room?

Hi. I'm a TA and use the TA discounts. You can only get the discount on a room only ressie. You can't add tickets or the Dining Plan, BUT...you can get Magical Express. However, this being said, the room is booked like a package, meaning you will need to put down a $200 deposit and pay the remainder 45 days prior to arrival.

Now to confuse you...Disney does offer TAs some specials in addition to the room discount. Last year I was able to book a 50% off package which included tickets and Dining Plan, all at the discounted price, which I upgraded the DP to DXDP.

Your DH would have to keep checking the TAs web portal to see when these deal come through. I've only seen specials like this maybe twice/yr. and usually at slow times.

Once he books a package at this rate he will have to fax over a copy of his current IATAN card to the phone number that Disney supplies within 48 hours of the ressie being made.

Thank you so much for the information, I really appreciate it. I think we will go ahead and book the room only and then if a package deal pops up, we can cancel and book that. We were able to get an amazing deal on the Polynesian, so we want to make sure to grab it while it's available
