Good luck!!!! You are prepared and I’m cheering for you!
Oh, concrete. Everything here is concrete so I do at least some concrete on almost every single run. I have 1 asphalt paved trail that I use for long runs because I have to drive to it and a couple of dirt trails in the neighborhood that I incorporate as regularly as possible just to get off the concrete. I will say being forced to run on concrete has encouraged me to pay attention to my form and fix some things that were causing some wear and tear. I also go through shoes faster than a lot of people I know because I can feel when the cushion is going. It’s hard to get a few more miles out of shoes when you’re on concrete.
