DH and I have two check ins for the week after Thanksgiving. I was able to check in on my iPad for both the studio at VGF, and the 1 bedroom at VWL. So, somehow this is related to my friends and pins.Me either on any apple product. Laptop only. Sigh.
It’s funny how finicky Disney’s system are - sometimes the browser or device or private/incognito window work… Next time the opposite worksDH and I have two check ins for the week after Thanksgiving. I am happy I began this tread because I had not entered correct addresses for everyone, and now all is correct. So, they go to the desk, check in with their correct IDs and all is good.![]()
See? This is where my question always comes in. If online check-in is all that matters and if my room is "paid for" in points, why should it matter if i ever show up, much less day 2 or 3 of a, say, 7 day trip? Yet we all know that if someone doesn't open that room door on day one, it is subject to be taken away without any notice as if you're never coming. That is ridiculous. Especially if they're not refunding the money (points). I don't see how they have any right to do anything with that room until the expiration of the rental. To the OP's point, it shouldn't matter if nobody gets there until the second day.
Y'all are talking about it's all good so long as somebody 18+ "checks in" on day one. There is no check-in if you do online check-in. You just go to the room!
Now tell me why I'm wrong.
Would this affect the reservation number? You could change someone else to lead guest, you just do this on chat, if you're concerned. Honestly, this might be what I do. Disney IT and you being on a boat is a scary combo to me.
Would this affect the reservation number?
Ok…thanks.No. Just put all the guests on the reservation and ask them to change X into lead guest on chat. That person would have to pony up a credit card to check in, like any hotel check in. That person would have to manage it on their MDE and match up all the people.
Ideally, it would all work on MDE and no big deal. But this is Disney IT, and you're on a boat.
The only warning I provide to friends or family when we have this happen is that if the front desk CM isn't finding the reservation based on their name then to provide the CM the lead guest name.
