I Will NEVER Eat At _______ In WDW Again!!

mareekesh for us service great restaurant lovely however found the food to be a bit dry just not for use

Pecos Bills. Everyone else raves about the place, and we were so disappointed. The food was bland and lukewarm, and just typically unappealing. I have eaten some really decent meals in all four parks, and PB was by far the worst.

It may have just been the time of year (May) but the place was swarmed with giant green flies. The kind that bite! Ack! We noticed that it was the only restaurant with that problem.

50's Prime Time Cafe. I was SO disappointed. Everyone raves about it, and the experience just fell short in almost every way.

We checked in a good 20 minutes before our reservation and asked for a TV table. We were told it would be no problem. We were not seated until 10-15 minutes after our reservation time. We didn't expect to be seated before our time, but were a little annoyed that we had to wait longer. But we chalked it up to the fact that we asked for a TV table so we dealt with it.

We were the ONLY family in the over 30 minutes we were waiting that did not get called by our "family name" to dinner. The girl just awkwardly called out my first name and led us to our table. And it was not a TV table! And we were practically at the same table as the family next to us. I explained that we had asked for a TV table and she said "Well you can go back out front. I don't know how long it will be." I said it was already 15 minutes past our ADR and she just said it was all they had. We were hungry, so again, I dealt with it.

Food was ok and came quickly. I got the onion rings. They were very good - very greasy, but that's to be expected. I sipped my sister's PB&J milkshake, which was delicious. I got the pot roast for my meal. Portion was smaller than I expected, but it was still enough. I was enjoying it until I got a mouthful of fat. That ruined it.

Our server was friendly but did absolutely none of the things your hear about 50's PT servers doing. No jokes, etc. and it took half an hour from when she cleared our plates to when we got out of there because she was so slow with the bill.

Totally disappointing and not worth the money and time. Never again.

Coral Reef and Tony's in 2009 just didn't leave a good impression on me.

Crystal Palace and Whispering Canyon in 2011 became dislikes. Both I had been impressed during previous visits.

I really enjoyed Chef Mickeys atmosphere in 2007 but food was lacking.

Sunday, March 2nd was the second time we've eaten at the Sci-Fi. First time was in 2010 for dinner and it was pretty good. This time was lunch and it was just meh. DGD had the burger, I had the all American picnic burger and DH had steak. I've always read rave reviews about the burgers and now I'm wondering why. The hot dog on top of mine was interesting, and added an element of...something, not sure why I even ordered it, but the burger itself just kinda tasted like cardboard. The bun was way too small for both DGD's and mine, and shriveled looking. Done with the Sci-Fi! Our server was on top of things with drink refills and desserts and even presented us, quite awkwardly, with a bag containing 3 glow in the dark Sci-Fi cups with snap on lids filled with stale caramel corn. It was nice of him but kinda strange.

Sci-Fi! Ate there last week and the service was awful! The steak was ok, but never got a steak knife. Couldn't hunt down waitress to request one. DH said burger was awful. My sister had a salad with chicks and said the chicken was so chewy she couldn't even eat it. Crossing that off the list!

I agree! Sci Fi used to be one of our favorite TS restaurants at DHS. However, when we ate there last September, I could tell the quality of the food had diminished. We got a much better burger at Beaches and Cream.

Britain. We spent two hours waiting for fish and chips. Like, come on.

Actually in all honesty, a lot of the quick service restaurants were far worse.

Ohana... sadly a huge disappointment. Besides a great mojito and some of the food being pretty good, it just came out to the table way too fast! Everything was getting cold on our plate because we couldn't eat fast enough. We even asked for a little more time in between. We had a 5:10 reservation and we felt rushed. For the money the food was mediocre. We were SO disappointed and quite frankly shocked.

Really? We gave up Coral Reef for a lousy character dining experience, but if Coral Reef was bad, I'm wondering if we made the right choice, lol.
It really is awful. We even tried it a second time, because of the atmosphere, but the food and service are absolutely horrible!

1900 Park Fare.... Hands down. It was awful, the food was just terrible, we ended up eating rolls for dinner. Never again.

Hands down, Coral Reef. We were early for our reservation which was a mistake. The guy at the desk warned me that it would be 10-15 minutes past our reservation time before he could sit us. Well at 30 minutes past our time he gave me attitude - at that point I would have left but my kids really wanted to eat there. At 45 minutes past we still did not have a table. At that point I almost blew and told him that I wished he had been honest from the get-go because we would have hit a Quick Service and been on our way. Did I get an apology? No. Instead he began to recite from what must be the Disney manual in a completely monotone voice, almost robotic in quality. It took all of my restraint to remember that I was in WDW and to not explode. As I walked back to our group to tell them we were leaving my husband was laughing because the look on my face was apparently quite comical - Of course that was the moment they picked to call us to our table. The food was blah, but my husband's gluten free items were good. All in all, NOT worth the wait.

We ate there last week too. Our burgers were burnt!

Tutto Italia. Party of 4 - two adults, two teenagers - $197.34 for mediocre (at best) food and lousy service. Frankly, I have had consistently better meals at Maggiano's and even Carrabba's for far less money.

The ONLY good things about our meal - we were seated immediately, in spite of being early for our ADR, and the assistant waiter who kept our drink glasses full. Aside from that, we saw our waiter 3 times during the entire meal - to take our apps/drink order, to take our main course order, and to settle our check. We waited a very long time to be greeted at our table - over 15 minutes. We ordered calamari as an appetizer, which was good - not the best I've had, but not the worst, either. Our cocktails were not worth the price - not by a long shot. The entrees were supremely disappointing... DH's sole was soggy, although it would have been something to rave about otherwise. (This was the ONLY dish that was actually flavorful!) My risotto was undercooked, and the sauce was oily and separating - while the shrimp were cooked well, the dish was ridiculously bland. Both kids ordered the fettuccine, which had clearly sat under the hot lamps for far too long - the pasta was tough, the sauce had congealed/thickened, and it lacked flavor. All of this was shocking, as we were presented with our entrees VERY quickly! In hindsight, it seems apparent that the food had been mostly pre-plated and sat under the lamps until needed. I have determined that it was either A) a fluke bad night, or B) all of the great reviews were made by people who don't know what "good food" really is. I would have been disappointed if this had been a $50.00 QS meal... but for nearly $200.00? Seriously? Never again.

And, for anyone wondering why we didn't complain and/or send the food back... we never send food back to the kitchen. We simply just do not return.

1900 Park Fare.... Hands down. It was awful, the food was just terrible, we ended up eating rolls for dinner. Never again.

Glad we are not alone. On our October trip we did 6 TS/Character meals and this for sure was our least favorite. Really struggled to find food that we enjoyed. Even the desserts were just so so. Huge disappointment.

I too thought it was meh. It was filling and I did feel like we got a lot of food for the money, but pretty flavorless in the end.

Coral reef! The place smelled like rotten fish and mildew. 2 of our meals had to be sent back because they were disgusting! Lobster was as chewy as a rubber band! Never again. :sad2:
