Sorry to cause such a ruckus. I’m not a rule breaker at all. I always try to do the right thing. I got caught up in the moment. I was just excited. I’m going to call tomorrow and cancel. I don’t want the nice CM to get in trouble.

I am just on the phone with guest service and they know that some cm's were doing this and they got in trouble for it. They are now looking into all the reservations that were not paid with the Disney Visa

Please Please do not do this, the cm's get in trouble. sometimes you get someone new that isn't totally aware of all the rules or you get someone that is answering the overflow of calls that doesn't really work for Disney

I will second this. The package is ONLY available for booking for Disney Visa holders right now (and requires the Disney Visa deposit at the time of booking.) It will be available to the public later this week.

If a CM books this for you before it is released to be booked they can lose their job for it. Since you had to go through several CMs before you "found one" who would book this you had to know that it wasn't available yet to the public. PLEASE do not put a cast member in this prediciment. Some of them may be new and not realize that this is not supposed to be booked yet without the Disney Visa deposit. This is putting their job in jeopardy.

You may want to check next week to be sure your reservation is still there.

If you don't have the Disney Visa, you can wait until April 4th to book...it's only 3 days more :sunny:

I have a Disney Visa, but used my other "flyer miles" credit card for the deposit. The CM didn't ask if the credit card I was using was the Disney Visa. I didn't even think of it being a problem until I read this thread. I will call and let them know that I didn't use the Disney card. If they want to credit the deposit and take one on the Dis card, it's OK with me. I hope I didn't get the CM in trouble. I'll make sure I let them know that it was my error. Thanks to the free dining, we switched our ressie from the Swan to the BC!

Yes, if you are booked without the credit card they can cancel it as it is not a valid reservation! Correct it before they are out of these rooms!

I'm not trying to be the Morality police here (and this is not about the OP just generalization)but why do people think They can just break the rules and then brag about how they did it .
It's not like they were within the rules and finding a shortcut or anything like a code .
It just seems that people just continue to think things just don't apply to them .A person causes an accident then just drives off on their merry way with no effect on them of what they might have caused.

**Update**
I just called to cancel my reservation. I told the CM I booked the package for Disney Visa Card holders and I don't have a Disney Visa. The CM told me not to worry about it and to call back on 4/4 when they can change my package to the code not needing a Disney Visa. He did ask who booked it for me. I just told him a very friendly CM.

All is well with my package and I now have a clear conscious. :cool1:

When I called to let them know that I didn't book my ressie with a Disney Visa, they said they knew. The code reflected the offer that is coming out on 4/4/06 not the Disney Visa code. They said they were "holding" my ressie until the applicable code applied. I told them I wanted to cancel it and re-book using my Disney Visa not wanting to take a chance on the other code. They transferred me to Guest Services and a very nice CM spent quite a bit of time with me making the changes. She said they would rather not cancel it and charged my Disney Visa, credited my other "flyer mile" card and I kept the same reservation number. I was also adding another room and additional family members, as our numbers grew when they found out we could get the free dining. She also cancelled and re-booked our 8 days of dining reservations to reflect our bigger group.

FYI, she also said the balance needs to be paid with the Disney Visa. In our case, it was over $7,000 because we had 6 adults in two rooms at BC. So if you are booking with the Disney Visa code, make sure you have enough left on your card to charge the balance.

I've got to stop reading these boards and finding out about the great discounts. It's making us plan unexpected trips, when we can travel to Disneyland for a fraction of the cost. My "kids" are all adults, but we all still travel together and WDW is our favorite destination. At this rate, we'll be there every year! :surfweb:
