I was talking

they are going to tear down my grade school and they invited anyone who ever attended to go inside for a last look, I didnt go but my sister did, she said "Jay this real prety lady come up to me and said "are you jasons sister" she told her yes and moved on, I go "Paula who is she , what did she want?" she said "I didnt think to ask"
Missed opportunity, maybe it was your dream girl 😉

A school without hallways?? Where do you put the lockers?

Some schools I went to had separate buildings (for certain types of classes), but within those buildings? Hallways.

Let this visual explain the necessity for hallways:
The lockers were outside, where you see little indentations in the rows on the pic I posted, those were halls lined with lockers.

The only school I went to that had hallways was in 8th grade. Both elementary schools, 7th grade and highschool were doors to the outside.

Maybe it is a California thing.

it might be, but its a thing you should of had, its part of life in school

LOL great great point, also the big fight seen in Cobra Kai ( which btw was in Cal)

Outside hallways with separate buildings here in Florida as well. It stinks when it’s raining. Cali doesn’t have to worry about that as much as Florida. There are hallways inside the buildings where the lockers are. But it does give a nice open feel.

And no problem with school unity lol.

it’s so spread out. Was 15 minutes given in between classes to get to the next class?
Most of the classrooms were on the right in that photo. The only classes on the left were things like drivers ed, PE, band, health, shop. I honestly don't remember how long passing was, but @low-key says I walk fast so maybe that's where I learned 😂

Omg! I just had flashbacks. I do remember those from 80's movies like Just One of the Guys. But most John Hughes movies must have been shot on the East Coast, I recall interior lockers in those.

West Coast with nice weather. 🌞

Middle school, lockers were in your homeroom. You took what you needed for first half of the day, then went back after lunch to change it out.

High school, ugh! It was outside on a cement slab that was gated and covered with a roof. They were crammed in and I hated using them. I only did my first 2 years. Once I could drive, I went to my car to change my books. Thank goodness I graduated when I did, they quit allowing students to go to their car right after I graduated.

Our high school is five minutes between classes. It’s tight. But it’s funny how the tv shows show so much happening between classes - absolutely no time!

Truer words were never spoken

and a crazy lady from Bakersfiled said all there school dont have hallways ,all a door to outside, I cant comprehend this, in schools all my memorbale events happed in the hallways ? would no hallways be alright with you for your school years
That’s how my elementary school in FL was.

I grew up in Ohio, and we had hallways. We moved to Florida while my sister was still in school, and most of the campus did not have hallways. They had a core area where the office, cafeteria, auditorium, etc. were located that also housed the lockers (just small ones that would hold a few books), but otherwise it was covered sidewalks. I used to drive by an elementary school on my commute and it also had separate rows of classrooms with covered sidewalks and exterior doors. I would guess they must save a lot on the AC bills by not cooling the walkways.
