I'm at work, but DH was getting ready and said he wasn't comfortable and wanted to stay home. Our little DD has a slight temperature, so he used that as his reason to stay home.
i'm off to work at 'shady pines' soon, but think about playing hookey at least once a week. it's not that i don't like my job, it's just that work is one big interruption in life and interferes with the other things i want to do!

Isn't that the truth! Who ever decided a work week should be 40 hours?????????????????????????????????? What a waste of time. There's too much other stuff to do!
I am not a good hookey player. I just feel guilty the whole day.
But right now, work is so busy that if I played hookey I'd be worrying about all the things that needed to get done and wouldn't be able to enjoy my hookey day!
When I DO play hookey, I do it when I don't have much going on at work.
I was very close to playing hookey today. Almost everyone in the office is heading to Texas tomorrow, so for me that means plan, plan, plan.
I just KNOW I won't be able to resist playing hookey tomorrow and Friday... just me and the administrative assistant in. (Half the office gone to California, everyone else to Texas... and it's 30 degrees here...sigh....)
Solotraveler <== despirately in need of a hookey day
I played hookey! I commute to college, and was halfway there when I realized I forgot something I needed for my psych class. I went back home to get it and decided I really didn't feel like going back LOL. I spent the whole day sleeping...oops
I don't play hookey. I work at a day care and kids who depend onme. Besides I have a short work day I work from 7:30am till 1:30pm. So my day goes by fast and I have time to do stuff still while there is still light.
I am vacation stumped. I just don't know what to do. What would you do, Shannon? Oahu with all the touristy stuff, found a cheapo, highly recommended bungalow on the north shore away from the crowds of honolulu, or would you go to the Big Island and see the lava flowing....both come out to about the same price total. I am stumped!
Ok, I picked Oahu for a first time visit. Picked the cheapie room, requested a reservation for the end of May, lets see what happens.... http://www.keikibeach.com/accommodations.htm
