I was on Jay Leno last night!

Ok - this is totally "tooting my own horn," but I was recently cast in the newest Jibjab.com short animated, “Big Box Mart.” Jibjab is a film company that specializes in satire and became popular during the last political campaign.The exciting thing was that it premiered on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show last night! It was quite a kick to see MY head on an animated body dancing and singing up on the screen! Look for me as the only female board member, the red head (about middle of the piece – we are all in black suits!) It is now online at www.jibjab.com.

Fair warning - this short is a not so veiled "poke in the eye" at the WalMart corporation.

Now I've had my 15 seconds of fame!! Just had to share my excitement with my fellow disers.

As to how I was cast, JibJab has revamped a little and is trying to allow their audience to be more a part of their shorts. They put out a casting call to their email subscriber list and I submitted a headshot. They got somewhere around 6,000 submission and cast about 1,000. I just got lucky in that I was cast in a segment that only had 7 people as opposed to scenes that had hundreds.

Surf their site and look at their current project. They have some specific guidelines that you need to follow, but submitting is really user friendly.

Just think - you, too, could be featured in the next JibJab!
