WHAT DOES WALT DISNEY WORLD DO INCASE OF RAIN OR HURICANES?

DO THEY CLOSE THE PARKS?

I answered the Hurricane question on your other thread So I won't go into that again... But for rain, it can be tricky. They will not close the parks as there are plenty of indoor attractions. They will close the outdoor attractions if there is lightining within so many miles of the park, but not just for rain. It is very rare to get a full day of rain in central Florida in the summertime. What happens is the afternoon thunderstorms, basically these storms are created by the east and west coast seabreezes colliding which creates the storms. They are hit or miss depending on how fast the seabreezes are moving will depend on where over central Florida they occur. It could literally be storming over the Magic Kingdom and Epcot never sees a flash of lightning. Florida summer weather is that weird. The afternoon storms usually come in about 3-4 pm and they are past about 1-2 hours later. They are not usually an all day event, they come, the make some noise and get everything wet and then they are gone and you can continue about your day...

Just remember to bring rain gear with you and you will be fine
