I don’t have enough cabinet space to keep all these mickey mugs! They are plastic, made in China, and giant. I want to toss them in the recycle bin, but my family is horrified.
How can I convince them we don’t need these cups?

Same here! I have moved them from a cabinet to a bag, but I can't seem to..."Let It Go"!
Here's a deal Bob Dolewhip...I'll toss mine tonight if you will too :)

I laugh but it is so true! And I am about to get 4 more in a little over a month. I think I can at least get rid of the 4 without handles.

Coffee stains? Pour some vinegar in the mug, scrub a little bit, rinse. All clean!

I see them at the thrift store often... donate them!

Some of the newer ones, yes. Some of the older (more used) mugs just have a permanent yellowish tinge.
Time to toss.

These and every kids cup they got since they were small...lol Why I do not know.

I have to get rid of them soon too. Do it when no one is looking because they too will guilt me into keeping them.

Good luck.

If they get used on a daily basis then keep them.
If not then don't give them a choice.
We had been keeping them all and realized that they never got used.
We tossed most in the recyle and kept a few.
When on the dining plan we'll get more and as they come in others can go out.

What about putting them in a box and put away?

I know it sounds silly but my mom kept a few drink containers from my childhood--one of them being a pocahontas drink cup with a lid, another thing she kept was those McDonald's Hercules plates you used to get (though I think we have just one or two).

Anyways it was so neat to be able to open the box once it was passed down to me.

Perhaps that is the reason your family wants to keep them. If there isn't much of an emotional attachment to them I would donate them as well or at least what you can or even put those without emotional attachment in a box and attempt first to sell it in a garage sale.
