I want to stay everywhere all at once.

6/2019 we stayed
1 night in Art of Animation (add on night)
4 nights Bay Lake Tower 2BDR
3 nights Saratoga 2BDR (was to be a TREEHOUSE but it wasn't ready by 5 and we had reservations and were sweaty that we complained and they put us in the 2BDR
3 night Boardwalk Deluxe Villa

WE loved it! My husband hated the packing and sending the luggage ahead and not getting into the next room til later in the day and worrying about evening reservations, etc.. But, I would do it again. We are a family of 6.

So I was fine staying a different place every night but when it came down to it, DH wanted to stay two nights in a row at Beach Club so I think I’m going to let go of a night of Riviera! Listed is park/followed by hotel. Availability has become extremely limited from when I started this thread and finally got my points from latest contract
Day 1 Mk / CC
Day 2 boat MK/w BLT
Day 3 bus AK/ SSR (hope to move)
Day 4 bus EP/ BC
Day 5 s HS /BC or Riv
Day 6 w EP/offsite near airport

Already morphed. I’d rather use 27 points on another night than use at SSR at a one bedroom. We are studio kind of people this trip. If it opens up, then yay. If not, I’m going outside dvc.

I also want to Try All The Places!
My last trip was a 1-3-1-1 split stay and I decided I don't care for staying single nights if I can help it.
My upcoming trip is 3-3-4-2 split stay and I hope I enjoy it. I might regret all the moves but I'm looking forward to staying at some new-to-me resorts.

aww you are my kind of 🧳! 😍 let me know how it goes! There’s a time and place for it all!I I’m all about the new-to-me. Second guessing the SsR already. I have time.

Yay! You got the 2nd Beach Club night you wanted. It's interesting that you'd pay out of pocket for the All Stars instead of staying at SSR, although I understand not wanting to spend the points on a 1-bedroom.

Ha! I just replied again about the SSR. :rotfl:

Yes, I like to explore all the different resorts with their different themes. I have some repeat resorts too on this trip; I love the Polynesian!

We can stay at Aulani anytime because of where we live, so Poly will probably be one of the last even though I look forward to it. (Kinda thinking of those 27 pts saved can be for a nice night at nearby AU). I’m slightly mourning giving up RR/GF though. That will happen another time though. SSR can be had a very cheaply another trip but I will be curious until then....and try not add-on in the meantime. Lol. I won’t. ;)

All Star is kinda close to Animal Kingdom so that’s what we were thinking. OK opened up, so I swapped that out as a backup on that day instead of SSR based on proximity and curiosity.
Funny thing, Polynesian came up yesterday but I was too slow and missed it. Boo hoo.

Our last trip was Poly 2 nights followed by BC 6 nights. Poly went quick, even with half the resort shutdown it felt too fast to fully enjoy it. Just getting into the groove when already time to leave. We learned how much there’s to love about resort boats though 🥰

I want to try Aulani, but I'm not sure if/when I'll ever get out that way. It looks beautiful!

We did something like this for spring break this year and loved it, but there's a big caveat: we did NOT go to the parks.
  1. BCV from 9:30am Monday - 5:30pm Tuesday: plenty of time for SAB, strolling the Boardwalk, and meals around the pool and in the room
  2. RIV from 5:45pm Tuesday - 2:00pm Thursday: more than enough time for pools, exploring the new resort, lunch at CBR (walkable to fish tacos!), Skyliner trips (ironically back to BW)
  3. AKL-J from 2:30pm Thursday - 1:00pm Saturday: we've never had enough time at AKL, even when spending a week there, but this offered lots of time at the pools, viewing animals, a movie by the pool, more animal viewing, meals by the pool, and tennis.
In the end, this trip wasn't relaxing. I don't think that you can move that much and feel relaxed. In addition to spending lots of time physically moving from place to place (we had a car, which made this much more efficient), any room problems take an outsized portion of your time. For example, when we arrived at AKL-J, there were bees on our balcony. Let me try that again: there were BEES!!! on our balcony. The pest control guy counted at least 30, but they can't do much about it. So, we ended up moving rooms despite having arrived at AKL-J within the hour. If you have problems with your room on a longer stay, hopefully they're ironed out right away and then you don't have to worry about them anymore.

Despite the problems, it was really stinking fun and we all had a great time, especially coming out of the year of COVID. I really enjoy the split stay, but (i) I think it's important to get a larger chunk of time at one spot, even if that means something like 4-1-1, and (ii) our favorite trips have been when we planted ourselves at one location and didn't worry about moving to another one until it was time to go home. I'm a total homebody, so it's not surprising that this fit me so well, but my wife is a mover and even she found the "arrive and plant yourself" technique to be significantly more relaxing.

Happy planning!

Love these stories.
I’m definitely the mover and yes, I know this trip will be a Taste of DVC and will not unpack much. Ok so here are all new to me resorts (as a new owner).

Park followed by DVC villa
Day 1 Mk / boat CC
Day 2 boat MK/w and monorail BLT
Day 3 bus AK/ AK-J
Day 4 bus EP/ walk BC
Day 5 s HS / BC
Day 6 walk to EP/Lyft offsite near airport
We are booked up in studios (except Jambo value 1 bdrm) to satisfaction now.
I love that we will not deal with parking and driving and buses are limited except Day3 4 where it will be a leisurely ride to late open Ep. and AK is nearby.

Keep the stories coming! Availability is a tight squeeze this year but we will make the best of it! We are dying to try everything at once. I might still trade the last night for RR, SSR, OKW, GF or Poly if it comes up. In spring we went to BW and AK -K so just a few more to visit!

We will be doing our first split stay in December! I haven't told my husband about it but I'm sure he'll be fine with it... :rolleyes1 That's what happens when you're not into the planning! I am trying to make sure we don't move around too much though, because I can get the hassle with having to pack up every 1 - 2 nights and being "homeless" for a period of time. Usually it's nice to take an afternoon break, but since we're going in December, the weather shouldn't be so bad that we can't stick it out in the park for most of the day if we're moving resorts.

We're doing:
- 3 nights AKV Club level: really hoping this will be available by December! I lucked out with some frequent stalking and early mornings to piece together these 3 nights.
- 4 nights SSR: thinking we might do less park days during these days, and take advantage of some of the resort activities and being close to Disney Springs
- 4 nights RIV: transferred in these points from someone to try out the newest DVC! I'm excited to try out the skyliner

This will be our first time using our points with the pandemic and our first time staying in deluxe resorts. Last time we were there, we visited a few and really loved the idea of staying there at some point.

We have a split stay booked for March. I was actually surprised DH suggested attempting it for this particular trip as we are bringing DD (a young single mom with 2 toddlers) so we have

2 nights RIV 2 BR standard view (comped stay from a recent BWV trip that had issues) - We own at RIV, but like the skyliner for the toddlers. BWV was not available in the 2 BR as comped. Epcot and HS days
3 nights VGF 2 BR standard - MK and AK days

We have 2 more WDW trips booked in 2021 already or we'd trip a split stay this year. Just not enough time left! LOL!

VGF and RR seems like a good combo. I think I’ll try for that my first grownup trip. Where are you staying for your other trips?

Last change! I got another night at BC and cancelled airport stay. I’m very satisfied even though I’m not staying everywhere afterall.
