I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

Wow, what a great surprise for Joaquin and Gavin! They have one great Ommi right there. And I totally would not hesitate to devour that Rice Krispie Treat and play with those light sabers. Again, Joaquin knows where it's at!

LOL @ Joaquin! How random to just come out with something like that. The perfect kid-ism!

Mickey's Backyard BBQ does look like tons of fun and I totally could go for some regular classic BBQ food. That's so funny about the whole jegging realization! I have a feeling it must've been the way that you said it rather than the aspect of you said "jegging" that made the dude crack up. That's always the way.

The Mickey Bar love in this update is awesome! Really craving one right now myself (although when am I not).

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Thanks for sharing about the BBQ. I've never heard too much about it but it sounds like a very fun evening :)

Love the backpacks. And you got the kids to actually nap AFTER you gave them lightsabers? That's impressive! :rotfl:

Dinner looks like a blast. Seriously - I never read much about the meal either and it really does look like a fun evening, especially if it does include adult beverages. ;)

Joaquin is a hoot! You must have been laughing at him all week. Never a dull moment, that's for sure!

Glad to see that popadon is not the only one with the goofy poses - your mom snuck one in there too! :thumbsup2::yes::

Did she seriously buy jeggings and not know it? Too funny!

BBQ looks like a blast. And there's beer. What's not to love.

Those backpacks are a great idea and I want a lightsaber too!!

Bahaha "The Little Kicks"! Perfect! :lmao:

Oh God that would have been me guffawing if I was there. That's totally an "overheard at Disney World" gem. Perhaps it will make its way into someone's Trip Report. :thumbsup2

My favourite saying is "I'm gonna punch you right in the head"!!! Love that you say it too! Ok...nothing makes me laugh harder than Joaquin...cracks me up everytime!\

Sounds like a great time...I think one of these trips we're gonna have to try this out! Children as pack mules....isn't that why we bring them:rotfl2:

Hi! I'm joining in now :goodvibes

Those two kiddos are hilarious! And so different from each other.

That BBQ looks great, even if it's not fancy, sometimes it's nice to have some normal-ish food.

Hahaha to jeggings, worst WDW pants ever!

She had ordered them from the Disney Florist. They were backpacks (very handy when we decided to use the children as pack mules later in the trip.....), that had Darth Vader Bobble Heads, Lightsabers, Mickey Rice Krispie Treats, and other treats that clearly I do not remember....

Clearly someone got an iPhone as well ...:rotfl2::rotfl:

Loved your update !! I have always wanted to the barebeque and DD wants to eat at Trails End. I need to put that on my Disney bucket list !!

What do you suppose he meant by "I want to sell Tee Tee to other people?" Ah, the minds of children. Who knows what they are thinking at times ??

Susan

What awesome gifts in the pirate backpack. The boys sure enjoyed them...you can tell.

We have never done Mickey's Backyard BBQ or HDDR...even when the kids were little and I'm not sure why. :confused3

It sure looks like a fun time and how can you go wrong with hot dogs, burgers and ribs?

Lotsa catching up for me to do!

I love a good airport ambush! It helps when the people are not in the place they are supposed to be. I did the same to my mom at the ATL airport. Why in the world she was in the North terminal when her plane came in the south terminal, I'll never know.

I love the adventures of the Yeti! He's a rascally one.

The "100 people in my pants" comment made me die laughing. That.was.hilarious! Also, your brother wins the jazz hands contests. Well done!

LOVE that villa. I would love to stay in those villas one day. I remember riding past them on the boat from POR in their previous state. VAST improvement.

The BBQ looks like so much fun! I'll have to put it on the to-do list for sure.

We've never done any of the WDW dinner shows, my kids are semi-picky eaters and we just couldn't justify the cost...it does look like fun for a group, though!!

I really want to get inside Joaquin's head now and figure out what he meant! Kids say some dang interesting things! Hahaha

That dinner looks like a ton of fun! I actually think this is the first time I've ever heard anyone talk about it in a TR!

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Ha ha jeggings!! elastic waist and all? That's so funny!

Gotta say, I love BBQ and I love characters... and a hoe down Disney style, sounds like fun. Are adult beverages (beer) included?

So your nephew wants to sell you to others? Gotta love the off the wall things kids say. ;)Sometimes you just can't get inside their interesting little minds. When my oldest was a little guy he saw a photo of me in my cap/gown for graduation and said, "I didn't know you were a judge." He thought I was wearing a judges robe. So funny 26 years later!

Thankfully Brenda, they were not elastic waisted. You know the kind that try to fool you into thinking they're jeans, but they have no pockets? Yup. That's what they were. It was incredible.

Absolutely, the adult beverages were included. Just beer and wine, but still. If you say unlimited beer to me....I'm there.

That is so funny about your son with the robe! Kids are crazy, aren't they? I wish I could just tape them all day so you can get the things they say.

Fu update that was full of potential TR names (beyond the one you chose)

* that's because they're jeggings!
* the Yeti Stoll my beer!
* No children were harmed in the writing of this trip report

Hahaha. It was chock full of them!

Wow, I cannot believe I have missed your TR for a month, almost. I have been very one-sighted on the DIS because I knew I didn't have another trip planned until next year... but that all changed late last week, and so now suddenly I MUST READ EVERY SINGLE TR ON THE ENTIRE BOARD. So I'm on board for yours, of course!

Seeing how happy you all are eating those Mickey bars makes me think that I am DEFINITELY EATING A MICKEY BAR in November. I haven't had one since I was just a little mouse at WDW, so I think it will be in order as a snack one day, diet be damned!

Hey, no shame in avoiding the DIS if there is no trip in sight. I'm so glad you're going soon!

Do it. Do it. Just eat a Mickey bar. I did not stay within my normal diet restrictions when we went. I mean, I didn't go absolutely crazy, but I also wasn't eating as limited as I normally do and I didn't gain any weight while we were there.

Fantastic update!

The backpacks and presents were such a great idea. I bet the kids just loved that.

They loved them! Until that moment when they realized that we weren't going to carry their junk in the parks, which mean if they wanted it to come along, they needed to bring their backpack. :lmao:

I'm so glad they napped - that is always the killer for me. Will she nap, even though she's way too old for naps, but she's so tired and we have so much planned tonight, will she nap???? :rotfl2:

They're way beyond napping too, but I think in Disney it's such a must. Like for real, I nap in Disney!

The Sell Tee-Tee thing is just too dang funny! What in the world are kids thinking sometimes? :confused3

The BBQ looks like a blast. I think we definitely need to try that - what a fun evening!

Joaquin is just beyond hilarious. What a kid!!!

I have no idea what he was thinking honestly. I can't even pose a guess as to what he was talking about.

I recommend the BBQ. It was just a lot of fun for us. The boys really enjoyed it and it was a great way to start off our first day.

What awesome backpacks! How fun that grandma was thoughtful enough to do that!

Yay for naps! Sounds like a long day for anyone, poor kids must have needed it.

The travel day was definitely a bit long. I had wanted a nap for myself too, but that was a little difficult since my bed just happened to be in the living room.

The BBQ sounds like a lot of fun! Honestly, yours is the first super positive review I've read of it. Might have to go on the list....

I'm gonna shoot straight here. It's not really difficult to make us happy. And I don't mean that in a negative way. I have a checklist of things when I consider events and meals.

Was the food decent? Yes.
Did we have a good time? Yes.

That's truly all I use. Obviously I have things that are favorites, and the food definitely wasn't like, I don't know, Jiko quality. But it was fun for us and so relaxed. I truly take all of my Disney dining in stride.

Love the picture of Gavin hula hooping. Great shot! :goodvibes

Poor Tee Tee. I'm glad that they didn't sell you. :sad2:

Priceless Mickey bar pics! I think those are framers!

Gavin's hula hoop shot was great. He was having such a good time, and it really was taken perfectly.

Wow, what a great surprise for Joaquin and Gavin! They have one great Ommi right there. And I totally would not hesitate to devour that Rice Krispie Treat and play with those light sabers. Again, Joaquin knows where it's at!

They really do have a great Ommi and they know it. :rotfl:

LOL @ Joaquin! How random to just come out with something like that. The perfect kid-ism!

I'm not kidding, he is the most random kid of life.

The one downfall to Mickey's Backyard BBQ is that it's a little pricey. But we really really enjoyed it. It's not an every time thing, but it was a lot of fun for us this time. Definitely when the kids are along we would do it again.

I admit, it was more the way I said it that was funny. I sounded like I was so horrified. :lmao:

The Mickey Bar love in this update is awesome! Really craving one right now myself (although when am I not).

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

I'm always craving a Mickey bar. And it took everything in my power to not eat multiple.

I remember the fun we had for sure and the characters were everywhere. I would do it again too.

I agree. When we go with the kids again, we should definitely do it.

We are doing Mickey's Backyard BBQ for our Thanksgiving dinner, so I'm so glad to see you went! I'm most excited about the prospect of unlimited Mickey Bars...yum. I would definitely love to see some of the character photos once you get them!

Drunk Yeti continues to wow me. Love him.

Awesome that it will be your Thanksgiving dinner. I wonder if they will change the menu at all.

Drunk Yeti is the greatest ever. I may have to start his own Instagram.

Thanks for sharing about the BBQ. I've never heard too much about it but it sounds like a very fun evening :)

It was a lot of fun!

:thumbsup2

Rob....who doesn't want a lightsaber! :lmao:

At times, I think that everything I or my family says ends up in someone's "overheard at Disney World" vault.

Love the backpacks. And you got the kids to actually nap AFTER you gave them lightsabers? That's impressive! :rotfl:

Yes we did. We have special powers. :rotfl2:

Dinner looks like a blast. Seriously - I never read much about the meal either and it really does look like a fun evening, especially if it does include adult beverages. ;)

When my Mom suggested it and I saw it included unlimited adult beverages, I was like "yup!"

Joaquin is a hoot! You must have been laughing at him all week. Never a dull moment, that's for sure!

Glad to see that popadon is not the only one with the goofy poses - your mom snuck one in there too! :thumbsup2::yes::

We laugh at him all the time. I tried to take down as much of his funny sayings as possible, but I have to be honest....you can't keep up with him!

My Mom is pretty funny herself. It's just more like a hidden funny.

Did she seriously buy jeggings and not know it? Too funny!

BBQ looks like a blast. And there's beer. What's not to love.

Hahaha! They were like hidden ones. Totally looked like jeans, just super soft. But with fake pockets, which is a sure sign of jeggings!

Beer + unlimited quantities = Danielle happy girl.

We honestly tell everyone all of the time that we are going to punch them somewhere. It's how we show our love.

Joaquin makes me crack up too. There is never a dull moment with him.

Hi! I'm joining in now :goodvibes

Those two kiddos are hilarious! And so different from each other.

That BBQ looks great, even if it's not fancy, sometimes it's nice to have some normal-ish food.

Hahaha to jeggings, worst WDW pants ever!

:welcome:

Glad to have you here!

They are polar opposites, truly. Gavin flies a bit under the radar. Joaquin is just much more in your face.

Jeggings are just the worst pants for anywhere!

Sounds like a good trip so far! I can totally relate to the kids driving you crazy!

Hehehe. They were good for the most part. There were some moments where we had to you know....drop the gauntlet.

Susan

That actually is Gavin's iPhone! He needed a phone for when he's at his Dad's house, and it was free.

Definitely put it on your list. We've done both. I definitely prefer the BBQ, but it is also a lot more expensive.

You know, I tried to figure out what he meant by it, and I truly have no idea. Trying to get into his little head is impossible.

They definitely loved them. And you'll see later that the lightsabers get put to good use. :lmao:

We did HDDR when we were younger, but had never done the BBQ. A lot of the reason why I think is because it's seasonal, and we tended not to be there when they were running it.

Lotsa catching up for me to do!

I love a good airport ambush! It helps when the people are not in the place they are supposed to be. I did the same to my mom at the ATL airport. Why in the world she was in the North terminal when her plane came in the south terminal, I'll never know.

Mom told us that technically they were in the right place. I still beg to differ. :rotfl:

I love the adventures of the Yeti! He's a rascally one.

The "100 people in my pants" comment made me die laughing. That.was.hilarious! Also, your brother wins the jazz hands contests. Well done!

My brother wins all kinds of contests, typically being the most ridiculous one in pictures. And we wonder where Joaquin gets it from.

LOVE that villa. I would love to stay in those villas one day. I remember riding past them on the boat from POR in their previous state. VAST improvement.

The BBQ looks like so much fun! I'll have to put it on the to-do list for sure.

The villas are beautiful. We absolutely loved them. So glad that they are part of DVC now. It makes it much easier for us to stay there.

We've never done any of the WDW dinner shows, my kids are semi-picky eaters and we just couldn't justify the cost...it does look like fun for a group, though!!

I completely get it. It's expensive for sure, which is why we hadn't done it until now. But the kids really loved it.

I really want to get inside Joaquin's head now and figure out what he meant! Kids say some dang interesting things! Hahaha

That dinner looks like a ton of fun! I actually think this is the first time I've ever heard anyone talk about it in a TR!

Girl, I wanna get in his head too! I have no idea what he's thinking most times.

I've actually never read about it in a TR either. Glad that I could share with everyone.
