I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

Loved seeing the Treehouse pictures. Not many people report on those. I have a friend who wants very much to stay in one with her family, and unfortunately that is one Disney thing I am not very familiar with to help her out. Do you have more pictures that you didn't put on here?

I took some pictures also and will have Danielle put them on Photobucket to share. I thoroughly enjoyed staying that the Treehouse. I will stay again for sure.

We have the Treehouse Villas at the top of our list. My only disdain for them (from pictures) is that it includes a kitchen. I don't like cooking at home and i know if there is a kitchen it would be all..."We can save money and you cook here"...nope, that isn't a vacation to me!!! :lmao:

I hear you on that. We do usually try to stay in a place with a kitchen, but that is largely for storing milk/making proper coffee in the morning and sometimes having breakfast. Plus with having young kids having tons of milk at the ready and food when needed is great. We could probably do with a kitchenette as it isn't like we cook a full turkey dinner or anything - though having the oven to be able to re-heat leftovers is sometimes nice

Hi everyone!

So I'll be typing an update for this weekend, but wanted to give you a little teaser of what's to come.....

Clearly..........someone continues to lose his mind.

:lmao:

Have a good night dear DIS friends!

we did 27 takes, and that was the sanest one ;)

Haha. I know! He's mental.

I do have more. I will post them later so everyone can see.

I will get them posted. ;)

It was nice having the kitchen option. My Dad is diabetic, so it was very helpful from that aspect. It was better for him to have breakfasts that are lower carb for him, so we did cook eggs periodically. But I agree. Ain't no full turkey dinner going on up in there. :lmao:

Seriously! That's what he's like. If you take a moment in time and capture 20 or more pictures of him, he's looking crazy progressively throughout all of the pictures. Just wait until you see the rest of the Photopass......

Obviously! :lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2:

Cannot wait for the updates...you and your family are so entertaining:thumbsup2!!!

Thanks! That's very sweet of you to say.

Thanks! I'm always here to entertain.

I hadn't even thought about that prospect, but that's because I haven't ever stayed there or even really been in the area.

We stayed at OKW last year and our balcony overlooked one of the greens. It was absolutely gorgeous...so quiet! And we never had any errant golf balls come our way, which was nice!

Wasn't that day ridiculous?! For real. And I had dressed stupidly for the weather here, and since I didn't have my luggage with me, I couldn't change when I landed. DUMB!

Our first time down there I did the same thing! I dressed for CT weather and almost died from heat stroke when we landed in Orlando! And worse was I was wearing fleece pajama pants! :scared: Lesson learned! Of course, that was before I had The DIS to provide me with tips like that!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I get that excited over Mickey Bars too! ::yes::

That's pretty cool! I haven't stayed at OKW in quite a few years. I have to start making the DVC rounds again.

We had such mild weather in Chicago all through the summer, and I totally thought I was dressed lightly enough. Clearly not. Fleece pajama pants?! You must have been dying.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I get that excited over Mickey Bars too! ::yes::

I should have actually filmed what he was doing with the Mickey bar, because he just kept licking it over and over again, and just looked hilarious.

We left off having just gotten into our villa and we were ready to unpack! On top of that.....we were ready to have those kids lie down for a nap.

:rotfl2:

No for real. They'd been up since 3am, and we had a very special destination at the end of the day. So it was necessary. Like now. Before we adults started punching them in the face because they were getting out of hand.

No children were injured during the writing of this TR.

But, before we sent them off for their nap, Ommi (what the boys call my Mom), had a very special gift for them.

She had ordered them from the Disney Florist. They were backpacks (very handy when we decided to use the children as pack mules later in the trip.....), that had Darth Vader Bobble Heads, Lightsabers, Mickey Rice Krispie Treats, and other treats that clearly I do not remember....

Joaquin is very clearly like "what else is in here!?"

But he was clearly most in love with the krispie treat.

OH AUTOGRAPH BOOKS AND PENS!!! That was the other thing that was in there. DUH!

We had to put the lightsabers to good use of course.

Again.....no children were harmed during the making of this trip report....unless they harmed each other.....then we adults cannot be held responsible. :rotfl2:

Everyone freshened up, littles all napped and good. Where were we off to this fine evening?

Holla!

They have line dancing here! I could get my dance on!!!!!

It was actually on our way to Fort Wilderness that Joaquin had the moment when the TR title came to life. We drove to Fort Wilderness and they would only let you in if you could prove you had a reservation. I am smart and bring reservation numbers everywhere. And remember, it was the 4th of July, so they didn't want crazy parking situations.

So we park the car, and then head to catch a bus to the Outpost. Board the bus, we're laughing and having a good time. And Joaquin just looks around and says "I want to give TeeTee a life!"

Growd ups: Okay.........

Joaquin: No! I want to give TeeTee a life! I want to sell her to OTHER PEOPLE!

He was dead serious about it. And I have no idea where it came from.

We got to the Outpost and headed over to the Pavilion. There were hula hoops guys!

If you haven't ever done it, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue is tons of fun. It's very laid back and fun. Right up our classy alley.

Pop was clearly excited.

So food offerings are:

Hot Dogs, hamburgers, cowboy beans, watermelon and various fruit, ribs, potatoes, corn bread. You know. Hoedown food!

So Jeni and I got in line with the boys first. Jeni is complaining about the fact that apparently her pants don't have pockets in the front. I'm like "what?"

Jeni: They totally don't have pockets. I don't understand. How did I not notice that when I bought them?

Danielle: Let me see....(Jeni lifts up shirt slightly).....*gasp* THAT'S BECAUSE THEY'RE JEGGINGS!

So this guy in line starts guffawing behind me. I'm dead serious. He was busting a gut like I said the funniest thing he had ever heard in his life. If that was anyone reading......you're welcome.

My plate!

This dinner had characters abounding. Sadly, I don't have those pictures yet because they're on Jeni's phone. I will post them though when I get them. I promise!

Gavin had a burger that was literally the size of his face.

Yeti stole my beer. Dang drunk.

We had a ton of fun, and I would definitely do it again. The boys had a blast, we got to dance with the characters, and it's all you can eat. What's not to love?!

Joaquin was very happy with his Mickey bar.

Well, we were all happy with them.

This was a definite success for us! I highly recommend it. Listen, the food doesn't blow anyone away. But it was soooooooo much fun!

We were all tuckered out after this. It had been a long day thus far. And we had a huge trip ahead of us!

Up next: Why aren't we at Disney yet!?

I remember the fun we had for sure and the characters were everywhere. I would do it again too.

We are doing Mickey's Backyard BBQ for our Thanksgiving dinner, so I'm so glad to see you went! I'm most excited about the prospect of unlimited Mickey Bars...yum. I would definitely love to see some of the character photos once you get them!

Drunk Yeti continues to wow me. Love him.

Ha ha jeggings!! elastic waist and all? That's so funny!

Gotta say, I love BBQ and I love characters... and a hoe down Disney style, sounds like fun. Are adult beverages (beer) included?

So your nephew wants to sell you to others? Gotta love the off the wall things kids say. ;)Sometimes you just can't get inside their interesting little minds. When my oldest was a little guy he saw a photo of me in my cap/gown for graduation and said, "I didn't know you were a judge." He thought I was wearing a judges robe. So funny 26 years later!

Fu update that was full of potential TR names (beyond the one you chose)

* that's because they're jeggings!
* the Yeti Stoll my beer!
* No children were harmed in the writing of this trip report

Wow, I cannot believe I have missed your TR for a month, almost. I have been very one-sighted on the DIS because I knew I didn't have another trip planned until next year... but that all changed late last week, and so now suddenly I MUST READ EVERY SINGLE TR ON THE ENTIRE BOARD. So I'm on board for yours, of course!

Seeing how happy you all are eating those Mickey bars makes me think that I am DEFINITELY EATING A MICKEY BAR in November. I haven't had one since I was just a little mouse at WDW, so I think it will be in order as a snack one day, diet be damned!

Fantastic update!

The backpacks and presents were such a great idea. I bet the kids just loved that.

I'm so glad they napped - that is always the killer for me. Will she nap, even though she's way too old for naps, but she's so tired and we have so much planned tonight, will she nap???? :rotfl2:

The Sell Tee-Tee thing is just too dang funny! What in the world are kids thinking sometimes? :confused3

The BBQ looks like a blast. I think we definitely need to try that - what a fun evening!

Joaquin is just beyond hilarious. What a kid!!!

What awesome backpacks! How fun that grandma was thoughtful enough to do that!

Yay for naps! Sounds like a long day for anyone, poor kids must have needed it.

The BBQ sounds like a lot of fun! Honestly, yours is the first super positive review I've read of it. Might have to go on the list....

Love the picture of Gavin hula hooping. Great shot! :goodvibes

Poor Tee Tee. I'm glad that they didn't sell you. :sad2:

Priceless Mickey bar pics! I think those are framers!
