"I Want To Go Back!!!"....a Sept 2010 PTR(upd 10/12-TR Started!)

Great pictures of the wedding! How nice to do a beach wedding-- your cousin is smart! You don't have to have too many decorations for the ceremony!

P.S. I can't get over what great eyes you and your DD have. Can I clone them for my future child?

Can't wait to see all the outfits! I still need to sit down and plan all of mine. We are going shopping tomorrow and hopefully I don't spend to much! Hoping for some great deal like you got! :goodvibes

She's always wanted a beach wedding and it just totally fits her personality.

Aw, thanks! We were wondering what color eyes she'd end up with since I have blue eyes and Tony has brown. However, his mom and sister have blue eyes too!

I can't wait to show off all my Disney fashion. It's just so much fun!

The wedding pictures are beautiful! Madison was the perfect flower girl.

Your trip is getting closer and closer.

Thanks! I had a lot of fun taking all those pictures. It's not everyday that you get to go to a beach wedding.

I'm getting more and more excited as each day passes. :yay:

Wow, gorgeous wedding! Everything about it. And Madison was just adorable!

It was so beautiful! Maddie did a great job.

I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD NEXT MONTH!!!!!
:cool1::banana::woohoo::yay::dance3::cheer2:party::jumping1:

In case you can't tell, I'm just a tiny bit excited. :goodvibes I cannot believe it's already August! Every time we reach a new month, I think that it's going to not be too busy. WRONG! I think July was even busier than June. Awhile ago, August was looking pretty empty, but now it's starting to fill up. Here's a look at my August agenda:

Tues 3rd-BIL and FIL are coming up for a vist from Florida. They'll be here until the 9th; I also have a dance teacher meeting that night

Thurs 5th-Madison has swimming lessons and her last soccer game

Sun 8th- 45 day mark!!

Tues 10th-Going to Darien Lake (www.godarienlake.com-local amusement park) for my Dad's company picnic. We just went there last Tuesday (me, Madison and my mom) and had a blast. They added new water slides and such this year and we really loved the lazy river (not as good as TL or BB). My mom rented a cabana for the day!

Wed 11th-I'm getting 6 Month Smile braces this day (tooth colored brackets and wires). :scared1: I got braces when I was 12 years old (7th grade) and wore them until almost the end of 11th grade (I didn't always do what I was told). After a few months, I kind of stopped wearing my retainer and my teeth have totally shifted back. I have also looked into Invisalign, but that's even more expensive and takes about a year and a half to complete. I'll only have to wear the braces for 4 and a half to 6 and a half months! :woohoo:
-Madison has a refresher dance class this evening as well

Thurs 12th- Last swimming lesson

Sat 14th- Feis at the Falls (the feis run by our school). I'll be volunteering in the afternoon

Sat 21st- Wedding

Thurs 26th- Open House at my dance studio

It may seem like a lot, but it's actually a very light month if you compare it to my June and July.

Keep busy--it makes the time go faster!! I am having Mike look into Invisalign...his have shifted a little also...not bad,,just a bit, but it's enough that he notices...put up pics!!!! It's gonna be cute!!! And Yippee for only one more month!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::yay::yay::wizard:

We've been super busy this summer too-- makes the time fly by!! You're so close to your trip! September will be here before you know it!
I just Google'd 6 Month Smile and it looks really interesting-- I really need to get my teeth fixed, but just have so many other expenses. This definitely seems like a good option, though-- is it a lot less expensive then traditional/Invisalign?

I had a similar braces experience as a teen!

Braces aren't too bad as an adult... I am in them right now and get them off just before our trip next month! The first month I was embarrassed, but I didn't think about them after that! I have been in them for 1.5 years

The great thing is that the ortho offered to give me permanent retainers so I don't have to get them a third time!

Woo hoo! Next month will be here before you know it!

What great pictures from the wedding...Madison is a beautiful flower girl! :flower3:
I know I must be getting older, 'cause most everyone I know is already married. It's been a while since I've been to one. At least our friends' kids aren't getting married yet!

Fun! We went there the last time we were in western NY...maybe two summers ago? DH grew up in that area (small town between Buffalo and Rochester) and went to Darien Lake a lot as a kid. He's very nostalgic about it...like me with WDW... :rolleyes1

Yay for next month! August doesn't seem very busy...for you, anyway. It's getting close!

Keeping busy definately makes the time fly by. I forgot to add that we might do another feis on August 28th. It's in Canada (finally got my enhanced license) and it's about an hour or so over the border. We have until next Friday to enter without a late fee, so we still have time.

Invisalign seemed like a great option for me, until they gave me the price. :scared1: Plus, I was going to have to wear them for a very long time (everyone is different). I'll post some pics, but not close-ups of my teeth!

One more month is so exciting!

This summer has been the busiest summer I've ever had, but it's been fun! I can't believe Madison will be starting 3rd grade next month. :sad1: She's growing up so fast!

6 Month Smiles are only for older teens/adults. From far away, you can't even tell that people are wearing braces! It's awesome. I might even have them off before Christmas! :woohoo: They are still pretty pricey, but not as much as Invisalign.

Funny, My DH said the same thing today....We go next month!! 51 days for us!

Don't you get so excited when you say you're going to Disney NEXT MONTH! It sure puts a smile on my face. :goodvibes

I know it will be weird to wear braces again, but at least they will be tooth colored brackets and wires. With 6 Month Smiles, they don't do anything to your back teeth. At my appointment each month, they will take off the wires and then use floss with diamonds in it to file off a teeny bit of my teeth. That little bit they take off allows the teeth to move. It's really neat!

Permanent retainers are included in the price of my braces too. They will also give me those clears retainers to wear at night. I have to wear them every night for 6 months and then only a few nights a week for the rest of my life. My ortho also includes teeth whitening after I get my braces off. :thumbsup2

Sept will definately be here soon. I can't wait!

The wedding was so wonderful. My mom has told me I'm at that age where all my friends are starting to get married. So true! We have 5 weddings this year and 3 next year (maybe more).

Darien Lake is pretty fun, but not as fun as Disney. It's gotten a little less clean since I was a kid. It used to be owned by a local family, they sold it to Six Flags a few years ago, and then Six Flags sold it back. Where did your DH grow up?

Yay for next month! August doesn't seem very busy...for you, anyway. It's getting close!

Are you super excited like me? September is already one of my favorite months (I love the beginning of fall), but this Disney trip is making it even better. August is not nearly as busy as June and July, that's for sure.

What a gorgeous wedding!! :goodvibes I've never been to a beach wedding, but I have always loved the pictures. Madison is a gorgeous flower girl and you and Tony are such a cute couple! It looks like a great time.

WOO-HOO for being so close to your vacation!! :dance3: One good thing about being so busy is that it'll make the time fly by so much quicker!! :thumbsup2

The beach wedding was awesome! It was just so different and very beautiful. Aw, thanks! We had a really fun night with our extended family.

I can't believe Sept is next month. Crazy! I really need to get moving on our countdown chain! 30 days will be here before I know it!

YAY for going to Disney next month!! That is fantastic!!!

The pattern I got was the Med. Blue! It is gorgeous!!

DH has said the same thing about Darien Lake not being quite as well cared for as it used to be. I think we've all gotten spoiled by Disney's standards of cleanliness and upkeep. :goodvibes Most people have never heard of DH's hometown (according to him)...Lyndonville, near Medina and Albion. He no longer has any family in that area, but he still keeps in touch with some old friends and we visited there a few years ago. :thumbsup2

Darien Lake has gone downhill, but I feel like they're trying to get better. The new water park was super clean and very nice. They even repainted the old water slides which really makes them look better. They added a new "roller coaster" last year which is pretty neat (it's called the MotoCoaster, or something like that, and was designed by the West Coast Chopper guys).

I've heard of Lyndonville!

WOOHOO for being so close! :woohoo:

Sounds like a busy month to me! Way busier than anything I've got planned this month! :)

I don't even feel like this month is that bad!

QUICK UPDATE
My ortho called me today and said that they received my braces today! So, instead of waiting until next Wed, I'm getting them on tomorrow!

With 6 Month Smiles, they take impressions (got that done 2 weeks ago) and then send them out to the official 6 Month Smile lab. That is where they make a model of my teeth and they put the actual braces on the model. The lab then sends the model to my ortho. Pretty interesting!

Great that you can get your braces on tomorrow! It does sound really interesting! It's hard that when you don't wear your retainers your teeth shift back. I wore mine religiously until my morning sickness with DD, and then I stopped. Every once and awhile I put them on and my teeth HURT in the morning!

Oh, and I forgot, I am super excited! I'll be at 7 weeks this Thursday. Seven weeks! I try not to rush it in my mind though, because I'm very much a "I don't want to rush my life away" person, and J.J. will be almost FOUR when we go! So I'm appreciating all these last days of 3 1/2 :lmao: Yes, I'm crazy. I know it. :goodvibes

Meghan, I cannot believe you pick out your clothes for each day. You are WAY organized. How awesome! :) My kids are at the age that they like to choose their own clothing so that wouldn't work for us anymore.

The wedding was so pretty. How wonderful you are *this close* to your trip!! :)
