"I Want To Go Back!!!"....a Sept 2010 PTR(upd 10/12-TR Started!)

Have to say I'm a wee bit jealous of your Vera list! I finally bought my first Vera last fall- Little Betsy in Purple Punch.

I am headed to Maryland tomorrow for my cousin's wedding. Please DO NOT post anything on my wall which would give the impression I'm away from my home. That is rule #1: Never say that you're out of town as your status on Facebook. It's SOOOO dangerous! I was just on there and my cousin's husband's status says "Leaving for Annapolis tomorrow, be back on Saturday". Wow. You just told everyone you know that now would be a great time to break into your house.

Ok. Rant over. Be back soon!
Well said!!! I never post anything that's an invitation to come empty my house. My neighbors keep an eye on things while we're gone but still you never know.

I love Purple Punch! I really want a Little Betsy bag, but I just haven't bought one yet. There was one thing I left off my Vera list....a Zip ID in Puccini.

We live next door to a police officer and we always tell him when we're going out of town. He keeps an eye on our house for us which is fantastic! Plus, my mom comes over every few days while we're at Disney to feed our cats.

I never post stuff like that on FB either..in fact, I don't usually even put when we are going away for the weekend on here!!! PARANOID!!!
I used the Ditty bag by VB this weekend for some toiletries and boy was it awesome!!!! Hairspray, perfume, comb/brushes...all that stuff that stands up and could possibly spill...loved it----and it's only like $25...I spend that much on the darn Ziplock bags after a few trips and then those get thrown away! So....I am really saving money!;)

You just can never be too careful! I can get a little paranoid too, so I'm right there with you.

I never thought about using the Ditty Bag for that purpose. I love it!

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't posted an update in awhile. Being in Maryland really threw me off and I've been trying to catch up with all my subscribed threads. I finally uploaded my pics yesterday, so I'm here to share them all with you!

The ceremony was on the beach, but this was the building the reception was at. Dinner was inside (look at the way to the left in the picture...the room with all the windows), but dancing was outside under those white tents.

The wedding was absolutely gorgeous, but ridiculously hot. Everyone had a great time and it was so nice to spend a few days with my extended family in Maryland.

In other news......

We are 54 days away from Disney!!! :yay: That means we have to be paid in full in just 9 short days. We'll be putting the balance on our Disney Visa (to get points and to take advantage of the 6 months 0% financing). We've been using our Disney Visa for gas and groceries the past few months to earn some extra points. Tony will be paying off that balance before we pay off our trip (don't want to get hit with any extra charges). I cannot wait to be paid in full!!!! 45 days is always so exciting. That means the more Disney Mail will be making it's way to my house. :woohoo:

I also have to start working on our countdown chain for our 30 day countdown. I went through my Hidden Magic and Trivia books awhile ago and picked out a bunch of neat facts I want to put on the links. When we're one week away, I'll probably do a "One Week From Today" fact.

I have finally worked out what Madison and I will be wearing on each day!! I took out all of our shirts and shorts yesterday, put them on my bed and started matching things up. I first wrote down all of our shirt options and then I had to hold up the different shorts that could be worn with each shirt. When I was happy with my match-ups, I wrote them all down. Then, I got out my chart of which park we'll be at each day (with ADR's) and matched up outfits with days. I will be taking pictures of each outfit so I can share them all with you. When we get closer, I'll recap my plan for each day and I can share my outfit pics with everyone. :goodvibes

Glad your trip went well!

The wedding looks so beautiful!

Your mom MADE that dress and headpiece? WOW! They look great!

I was halfway through your first post before I realized, hey, that's the dress she showed us on here! Haha. Made me feel involved.

I love the idea of "one week from today" for the countdown chain at the end. If only DS had any idea of how long a week was, I would totally do that!

I think it's funny that you already picked out outfits for each day, but I secretly love it. I pointed out something in a store to DH the other day and told him that if I were you, I would be wearing it to AK!

Your cousins wedding was gorgeous! Your mom did a wonderful job with Madison's dress and hair accessories.

Can't wait to see your outfit selections- you're so organized! :thumbsup2

What a beautiful wedding! I love the picture of the guys and the little guy is staring out at the water. So cute. Madison looks adorable, what a pretty flower girl! :) I have a wedding to go to this weekend, I'm really looking forward to it.

Can't wait to see the outfit update! :thumbsup2

Love the pics!! What a cool wedding!! I can not imagine getting married outside!! Besides our weather, I am soooo hot-natured. I would've been the bride with sweat on the dress!! LOL

It was a beautiful wedding. Just wish it wasn't so hot!

My mom is a very talented seamstress. She used to make hand-smocked dresses for me and my sisters all the time. She made my bridesmaids dresses for my wedding. She also made Madison a flower girl dress for my sisters wedding a few years ago.

I did wear the dress that I posted! It was perfect for the beach wedding. The material wasn't hot at all.

I love doing "one week from today" stuff. It makes me so much more excited!

I've turned into a crazy person with my Disney wardrobe, but it's so much fun! It's really easy to wake up in the morning and know what I'm going to wear that day. It also cuts down on me overpacking. :goodvibes

So funny that you thought of me when you saw a perfect AK shirt! That is how I shop now....would this work at Disney?

We had such a great time at the wedding. My mom did such an awesome job on Madison's stuff.

I am very organized in all areas of my life, but Disney is a whole different level.

What a beautiful wedding. :lovestruc

Madison looked so cute! :goodvibes

popcorn:: waiting to see the pics of the outfits. popcorn::

The wedding was just gorgeous. I loved my cousin's dress. Madison was a great little flower girl too.

I can't wait to post all my outfit pics!!!

The ring bearer was so cute. He's almost 4 and him and Madison were best buds during the reception. He carried a bucket down the aisle with "Just Married" flip flops (before my cousin and her new hubby walked back down the aisle, they changed into those flip flops). During the ceremony, he was "stamping" the sand with the flip flops trying to get the words to appear!

Madison did a great job and I think she was just too cute. Weddings are so much fun, but we have a lot of them! We just got invited to one that is next month. So, we already went to 2 (one in June and one in July) and now we have 1 in August, 1 in Sept and 1 in October!

You'll have to be patient for the outfit posts. Those will be coming a bit closer to departure time.

Thanks! I have never been to a beach wedding before and it was gorgeous. The humidity there literally made me feel like I was suffocating! The air was so thick. Everyone (well, not me because I sat in the a/c a lot) was so sweaty by the end of the night. Some of the bridal party even jumped in the Chesapeake Bay afterwards! My cousin's dress didn't look sweaty at all, but she had little beads of sweat everywhere. The air was so thick that the sweat just couldn't evaporate off everyone's skin.

Wow! I had a year like that a couple years ago. There was a wedding every 3 weeks or so during the summer. Craziness!

I'll try to be patient...:rolleyes1

The wedding looked wonderful and Madison was so pretty! I'm glad you guys had such a great time!!

Well I couldn't resist and I found a NWT Vera saddle bag on EBAY...I blame you LOL!

My cousin (who got married in June) has about 8-10 weddings this year. Plus, she's in a few of them!

Yes, patience please. :goodvibes

It was so much fun! Of course, I think that Madison is the best flower girl in the whole wide world. :goodvibes

I will totally take the blame for all Vear purchases. You can never have enough!!! Which pattern did you get?

What a beautiful wedding!! Such perfect colors for summer. Wow, your Mom is talented!! I wish I could sew like that-- Madison looked adorable!
Deciding on outfits is one of my favorite things to do for vacation prep! Can't wait to see what you have picked out for you guys!

It was such a great wedding! The colors looked so pretty on the beach. My mom is quite talented for sure. She never taught me and my sisters anything about sewing though.

Picking out Disney outfits is the BEST!

In shopping news....I bought some jeans for myself and Madison today. It seems as if every single store at the mall is having some sort of denim sale right now. Well, we of course went to Old Navy. Kids jeans were $10 so we got a pair of boot cut and super skinny for Madison (so cute). I had a $20 rewards card, so I used that for Madison's jeans (it's like getting free clothes). I got myself a pair of skinny jeans (with stretch which is awesome) for $15 and a pair of boot cut for $19. With my discount, I only had to pay about $26 for 2 pairs of jeans!

Great pictures of the wedding! How nice to do a beach wedding-- your cousin is smart! You don't have to have too many decorations for the ceremony!

P.S. I can't get over what great eyes you and your DD have. Can I clone them for my future child?

Can't wait to see all the outfits! I still need to sit down and plan all of mine. We are going shopping tomorrow and hopefully I don't spend to much! Hoping for some great deal like you got! :goodvibes

The wedding pictures are beautiful! Madison was the perfect flower girl.

Your trip is getting closer and closer.
