We are going to WDW in 15 days. It is a special trip to celebrate my wife's graduation from nursing school. She has worked very hard in school and in taking care of our DD and me. :love2: I know that there are special things that Disney can leave in your room upon check-in and that there is turn down service (although I don't really know what that is.) :confused3 I also have no idea how to order these things. I am one of those truly lucky husbands who just has to get dressed in the morning and leave for vacation while my wife has taken care of all the details. I'm looking for a few surprise ways to show her how much she is loved and appreciated by my DD and me  Any ideas are appreciated and please remember I don't have much experience so if you could be specific in what phone number to call I would be grateful. :wave2:

I'd like any tips as well.. Going for our 4 year anniversary and it would be awesome to have a surprise waiting :)

What a nice surprise for your DW. For the turndown service, that's just a matter of having a housekeeper come into your room again in the early evening. They'll replenish towels & toiletries that were used during the day, empty trash, turn down your bed covers, put chocolates on your pillow, leave the radio playing softly and a light on for you. It's available at the deluxe resorts. You can ask for it when you check-in, or call housekeeping from your Poly room.

The Disney florist does a beautiful job with flower arrangements or baskets. You can check them out on line at www.disneyflorist.com. They'll work with you to find specific items too. Perhaps some flowers and a spa gift certificate for a treatment, www.relaxedyet.com.

Gifts of a Lifetime is a park shopping service, as well as an event planner. They offer some very special things on their website.

How about a family fireworks cruise to watch Wishes? You can celebrate by having a bottle of sparkling cider brought on board and maybe some snacks. Here is some more information on that, http://www.allearsnet.com/btp/spcruise.htm. If you decide to book this, just ask specifically for the fireworks cruise.

Dont' know what resort your staying at but if they have a lounge you can purchase a nice bottle of wine and 2 glasses from them and they will arrange for a cm to put it in your room. I did this at POR several times.

I'm jealous you live in O.C. that's my favorite vacation area and we go there as often as we can (all year long).

Depending on which resort you are staying in, you can order a bottle of champagne and some incredibly excellent chocolate covered strawberries. They make a nice touch at the end of a busy day in the parks.

You can call your resort in advance to find out if they do this.

Thanks TammiMcMan. That is great info. I'm going to have to check into a few of those myself.

DH took me over to GF for a couples massage followed by Afternoon Tea. It was very romantic and beautiful, and I felt quite appreciated.

If DH were to surprise me, I'd love a trip to one of the spas...for a massage perhaps, some flowers delivered to our room, and a special romantic dinner for 2 at one of our favorite restaurants. Can't think of a better surprise than that! ::MinnieMo

Wow, you can do this at POR? This is good to know. We are staying there for our honeymoon in September and I love a glass of wine at the end of the night. I'm interested how you went about this....

I'm definately in agreement on this one.

Your DW is a very lucky gal

How sweet of you to want to do this for her! I'm in nursing school right now and I know how hard it is to juggle being a wife, mom, and nursing student! Congrats to your wife on her graduation and have a wonderful trip :flower:
