I want to be under 200 pounds...Anyone else??

Hi all,

I just stumbled across this thread and it looks so encouraging. Mind if I join? I would also love to see a 1 in front of my weight when I step onto the scale. Can't wait to read all this thread. Thanks.:goodvibes

Hello all! I'm new to the WISH board, and saw a thread about being under 200 lbs and thought that is sooo how I feel. I worked really hard to get under 200 to go to FL last year and to make myself look good for the day DH came home from Iraq. I did it, but gained a bunch back shorlty after he returned :guilty: I am now 7 months pregnent, and I saw the scale go back over 200 lbs and thought I would cry, however, there is good reason and I know that. Now I just need a support group to go to when I have to lose all this weight *again* in October. On the bright side, I still go to Curves for a workout a couple of times a week to make the post-natal recovery easier to get into. I can't wait to see the scale go down again!

Wow that is also my dream... I'm at 260 right now and I would love to see a 199 ha! ha! before my next trip to Disney.... maybe not... but I'll sure try

Due to my funny working schedule I can't really do a structured plan like WW with meetings, but I have been eating better (not always good, but better than before) and trying to do at least 30 minutes of exercise each weekday.

In mid February I was diagnosed with prediabetes and I knew then that I had to do something. I've lost 26.5 pounds with 97.5 to go. Wow, I have a long road ahead of me, but I have no choice it needs to be a lifestyle change not just a diet. I want to watch my children grow up and be around for my grandkids and even great grandkids.

I can't think of a better reason than that! Congrats on your excellent start! Hang in there, you can do it if you are really committed.

I actually kinda cheated to lose weight before, I got braces on my teeth :rotfl2: For the first few months it was next to impossible to eat. I think I lost 10 pounds the first month. After that I was just able to eat less and go to the gym once in a while. It also helped that DH was in Iraq and wasn't around to sabotage (sp?) my efforts  However, now that I'm used to my braces, I don't have a problem eating anymore, oh well, one step forward, two steps back. As long as I try agian. Oh and DH is back and of course he always has to say, "What, your not gonna eat anything?" just because I don't eat the same unhealthy fare as he enjoys.

HOW DID I MISS THESE BOARDS????? I am currently trying to reach the under 200 by age 45 weight lost also. I was 243 and currently am 206. Those last 6 lbs are the hardest for me right now. I am doing WW for the 4th time now, but this time I feel is it. Exercise is the hardest part to work into my day. (and of course I love to eat)
Just got back from 11days at WDW and lost 1lb...whewwww....that was hard!

Good luck to all my under 200 dieters. :cheer2:

Okay confession time. I was 192 2 years ago and walk/ran the Disney 1/2 Marathon. I was in great shape. Not the size I wanted to be but on my way. Some how I forgot how good I felt and along with some family medical stress, gained 40 pounds by Feb. 2006. I have since at least peeled off 8 of those pounds and yesterday I walked for 30 min. and today for 40. I got out my weight watchers booklets and read them again. Yesterday I stayed in my point range and today looks good too. I feel preety good and am truly hoping to stay on track at least until the end of the week. They I will regroup and go at it again. By the way, I just saw a clip on The View showcasing Plus size model and summer sleepwear /lingerie. Really cute stuff at Fashion Bug and Cacique(Lane Bryants new stores). might have to go shopping for something cute. okay back to topic. I would love to join this group. I haven't even opened the WISh site since June. Fear of my failures. I'm done with that feeling and going to take it a day at the time. Can't wait to hear as people cross the 200 barrier!!!!

I thought we could all use a little cheering for us today. I made an hour walking today even though it is the high 90's here today. You would think as much as I have been sweating the weight would fall off. But I would settle for 2-3 pounds a week. Five weeks till our Disney trip and I don't want to look at the pictures and think "Ugh, I look so fat".

In keeping with my three weeks down one week up pattern... ;)

I'm up 1.4 today. 216.2 lbs. :sad1:

Lost 1.4 pounds this week. Less than 10 pounds to Onederland, though, so I'm making progress!

(Don't fret Cyndi, I'm approaching that week where I'll likely have a small gain as well. It's only a blip on the path to your future success!)

Pixie dust to our team of aspiring Onederland inhabitants! pixiedust:

Last Sept 9th I had Gastric Lap Surg. I've lost 56 lbs so far and only have 11 lbs to go to 199lbs. I'm making that my target goal for the next month. It has been over 20 years since I've been under 200 lbs so it will be a big step for me.

Well another week of not losing. I think I've leveled off for a while here. 3 weeks and counting. Heading to Disney tomorrow :moped: so the Free Dining will pack on a few pounds. Oh well. I'll just have to work that much harder when I get back. :cool1:

Isn't it a nice feeling to see the scale that close? Good luck on the last few!

Oh goodness! I have been off the boards for a few days!

I would like to say HI! to the new folks as well! Gosh, it feels really cool to do that!

Amanda--we are getting there!

Wendy--Wow! I have some work to do to catch up! Now, your birthday is in Sept as well? I have just over 4 weeks, and I don't know if I can get the last 9 pounds gone! I just haven't had a regular work schedule, the weather has been pretty terrible most of July, and I am sure I can think of lots more excuses! :rotfl:

I am now going to be excuse free for my last month before my birthday. I do have a family gathering this week end, but I am still in charge! I can do it!

Will check in Monday to share the positive feedback!

Great losses to all!
