I want to be under 200 pounds...Anyone else??

I have been eating salad and fruit instead of fries. Last night I had KFC and didn't eat the skin. Way too many calories and fat in the skin (It's my favorite part). Monday I gave up Ice Cream while the rest of the family went and had it. I'm dying for a Milkshake and have been the last couple months, but I'm waiting until Disney.

Congrats to Everyone for giving up some bad things for some good things. :cheer2:
 
OOOooooooOOOOOOO! A big pat on my back for doing my 12 mile "long walk" on Monday night instead of blowing it off because I was out of town over the weekend!

I love this idea!
 
Hermosa--I would pack the 7 blouses. You never know if they will dry in the hotel room. I always add few extra blouses just in case of 'spillage'! :)

Ok--I didn't really give up anything yesterday. I didn't really trash much either, just kind of average. So, today will be a 'give up day' , we will just have to see what it is!

OK guys. Drum roll please.

Just got back from WW and I'm down 2.8 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That brings me to 214.8. Only 15.8 lbs to go! Then I'll have to figure out where I really want to be. But, I'm keeping my goals managable.

That's awesome!! I have had pizza twice this week, so I don't think I'm going to lose this week!! Either way I will get on here and post!! And either way...I will just pick up and move on!! :cheer2:

Thanks guys! From 260 lbs. on 3/6/05 to 252 lbs. on 12/15/05 to 214.8 lbs. on 8/3/06. It's like a miracle that WW is actually working this time. I guess I just finally got serious. Looking for 199 by 12/31/06.

I need your support though!! :wave:

I gained this week!! :guilty: But just 1.4 lbs!! And I know I didn't try my hardest so I know what I need to do this week to correct things!! DH and I already plan to start walking this week so I know that will help!! Have a good weekend everyone!!! :grouphug:
 
Anyone weigh themselves more than they're supposed to and see some serious fluctuation?

I weighed myself three times this week and saw my weight go down about 3 lbs and then up again... from one day to another... geez.

I used to weigh myself everyday! The scale was out in the open and I couldn't help myself. But I put the scale away and now I just weigh at my WW meeting. It was to the point where if the scale was up a little I was in a bad mood and if it was down a little I was in a good mood. It was driving me crazy so I had to put the scale away! It's kind of fun now...going to my meeting and being surprised at how I have done! "Back away from the scale, misslissa" :rotfl:
 
I'm down 3 more pounds. :woohoo: The time is running out until my 50th birthday in September though -- I really wanted to be in Onederland by then.

Why do we do this to ourselves and tie our success to being thin to a certain date?!?! We can only control what we put in our mouths and how much/often we exercise -- not how quickly we release the excess weight. Everything in its proper time... :hourglass

Congrats on your 3 lbs! That is awesome!

I think we tie ourselves to these dates as a method of motivation. For myself, I am officially trying for 199 by 12/31/06. But, in secret I am hoping for 199 by 9/18 (my 40th birthday). I've got 15 lbs. to go to get there so the reality is I probably can't consistently lose more than 2 lbs per week, so I most likely won't be 199 lbs. by 40. But, I know I can get there by New Years Eve, and when I do, I'm buying a new dress (not in a plus-size store) and going out on the town for the evening with DH. Whether he likes it or not!
 
Hi guys. Sorry I haven't checked in for a while. Things have been nuts again. Today is my official restart. I've gained almost 10 pounds of what I lost. I feel icky and I was sick yesterday after I ate something. I'm tired of that happening again. So this morning I did a WATP Walk and Kick which is 30 minutes. I haven't worked out in about 3 weeks because of my schedule. I have to get back to this.

So hopefully I can kick into this like you guys have. You are all doing so well. I have given up on myself since December and had lost my motivation - I think it's back.

Don't beat yourself up Chris. It sounds like you're getting yourself back on track. Every day is a new day and a new opportunity to put yourself first and work towards getting what you want!

Does anyone agree, that if you are going to weigh yourself (or do a weigh-in) that you should refrain from as much sodium the day before? I am soooo mindful of that. I remember my old WW leader saying that. I still abide by it.

Well, I LOVE the WW Choco. milk shakes (the powder where you add water or milk and crushed ice). They are just the best and so good in calcium, low in sodium, etc.! I have only one left...... :guilty: I gotsta find me someone that goes to WW and get me some.

GREAT in low sodium!!!! 1.5 g of fat 4 g. of sugar and 75 g of sodium (2T)

I decided to follow AprilN, a WISHer who lost lots of weight by acting like a healthy person. So, this week, that is what I did--I deliberately thought about my food from the standpoint of whether a healthy person would eat this or not.

I am down 7.5 pounds. 53.5 to go til onederland.

Yeah! A great count down for you! I want to see 199 by my 45th birthday (Sept 14th) Don't know if I will get there, but I am positive I will see it by 12/31/06! I am almost there!

Wendy you will do it!!! If we didn't put time limits on our goals, then they wouldn't be goals! I too am on the same path, with my Sept birthday! We will do it together! Our time is now! :cheer2:

Yeah! I think that it does help to think that you are living a healthy life style! I was out of town all day yesterday, and had 2 meals out. Both were salads with low fat dressing and stuff. I did not eat breads, or such. I did indulge in a bit of Cold Stone ice cream (DD is 10, I buy the kids size for me and she gets a regular). I did walk around the zoo for ove 4 hours! Lions and tigers and bears! Oh my!

Off to finish a great day!
