I want to be under 200 pounds...Anyone else??

Well, I weighed in this afternoon at WW. Up 1.4 to 221.4 lbs today. The 4th really kicked my butt. I was being pretty good with food, but somehow managed to drink enough cocktails to make me gain.
:drinking1
Oh well, I have to get back on track now. Tonight for dinner I had a pork chop and an ear of corn. For dessert I ate a couple of handfulls of fresh cherries. That's not bad. Tomorrow is another day and I have to focus on one day at a time.

Hopefully, I'll get motivated to exercise, because for me that's going to be the ticket.

If I can maintain my (average) 1.1 lb weight loss each week I can make 199 by year-end, but if I don't at least I'll end the year a LOT lighter than I started it!
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Well I'm down .5 pounds this morning from what I weighed at the beginning of the month. I went and worked out and now have joined dd up again so that will be some motivation for me. I haven't been able to get up in the morning so I changed my hours again to make it to the late afternoon class rather than trying to get to the morning class and then feel bad because I didn't. So that will help.

Julie - hang in there please. I know you can do it. When I first started I gained 4 pounds in my first 2 weeks. I started working out but hadn't done anything with my food. Once I started tracking my food, which I need to really start doing againg, then I saw that I started to lose. Also I kicked up my water intake to at least 60 or more ounces a day - I figured since I was drinking at least 32 ounces just when I worked out and I needed to drink during the rest of the day I could get at least 60 or more in a day. And I pushed myself to do 64, then I pushed myself to more and now I drink at least 84 ounces of water a day, some days more. I also really kicked out the soda - even though it was diet I knew I had to drink more water and I wouldn't be able to do that if I didn't focus on getting that soda content down. You'll see changes soon - I promise. Start by increasing your water - I think that will help. When that muscle starts building it's also retaining some fluid - you'll see you'll begin going to the bathroom more because you are flushing out that junk that you want the muscle to replace. I hope you have a good weekend!!!!!!

Everyone is doing great and welcome to everyone. I'm so glad you started this thread blue!!!!!!

I know I'm a little late jumping on the wagon, but can I join in as well. I weighed 216.8 this morning -- I am going for my second Goofy in 2007 (half and full marathon at WDW) and it would be so much easier if I weren't carrying around this extra weight. I think just having a group to be accountable to would help me stay focused.

getnthinr-of course you can join this thread!! The more the merrier!! You can never have too many people for support and encouragement.

I hope everybody is having a good weekend! I'm excited by my first Weigh In! (A 2.8 loss)! And if I can do it anyone can! I'll keep you all posted!!

We can do it!! :cheer2:

Hey!

Everyone sounds like they are doing such a good job! I'm so happy that I am part of something right from the beginning. Sometimes, I come on to a thread so late after it has started that I feel out of the loop. :confused3 But, here... I'm feeling pretty involved... anyone else ever get that?

Anyway, I wanted to comment on two things.

I used to say all of the time that I wasn't losing weight and I didn't know why... this was one of my downfalls... I did know, deep down inside. I'm not saying that is the case with everyone at all, I wouldn't want to assume that, but just in case that is you. I would like to bring it up. :wizard: If it can help you... I used to ignore my own downfalls... but have learned to take responsibility for my body.

Second of all, I have a hard time with food at work and have figured out my own way to deal with it. The trouble is that I get whatever I want for lunch from a restaurant! This has been horrible for me! :guilty: What I have had to do, is promise myself to only eat salad. Doesn't matter what kind of salad, but I pretend that nothing else exists but salad... never even consider other options.

On a happy note, since joining WW Online on Aug. 26th... I have lost 6 lbs. I would like to lose 22 more lbs before my wedding and Disneymoon on Sept. 2nd. But, will be appreciative of any loss!!! :Pinkbounc I have never lost weight before in my life... :cloud9:

So, good luck!!! We can do this!!! :cheer2:

I have the opposite problem. At work I do really well with a Weight Watchers frozen meal and a couple pieces of fruit. However, in the evenings its harder and on the weekend, really rough. However, I just got home from going out to dinner with DH and our two best friends, they all had fairly fattening meals, but I had a piece of swordfish and a large salad. I have to remind myself that I can go out to dinner with friends and not eat like it doesn't matter. When I get in from an evening out and realize that I had all the fun I would have had and didn't blow the diet, I feel like a winner!

I'm with you! I am working on 200 by Sept 14th--my 45th birthday! I have hopes of hitting under 180 by the end of 2007. I have 14 pounds til Sept, which was 49! I am ready and SO encouraged by everyone else. I have never been active in on-line communities, but WISH makes it more personal and possible!

I have felt nearly every disappointment each of us have mentioned! I know it may sound dumb, but thanks for being as honest as it gets! It has eliminated the embarrassment that happens when you are overweight.

I just keep thinking that each 5 pounds is adding a year on to my life. I used to never think I would reach 60 with the health issues I have in addition to the weight. Now, as I told DH yesterday, I am very positive about what I want to spend my 401K on, since I plan on being here to use it!

Great job to all and more to come!

Great losses to all! :cheer2:

Hello Friends!! Yesterday was not the best day....I feel incredibly guilty even though I did not use all my flex (weekly points allowance) points. I used 25 of them though.......I was just very hungry! But I admit that I did write everything down..the old me would have just said "To heck with it.....I've overeaten so might as well have some more" But I'm back on today!! I didn't really even go off the plan....but I still feel guilty.
If you're not familiar with WW this post might be a little confusing and I am sorry about that!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!! :grouphug:

My birthday is Sept. 14th as well! My wedding is Sept. 2nd, Disneymoon is 9-16th, and we'll be at MNSSHP on the 15th. I can't wait for September!!!

I want to be at 199 as well :) :wizard:

Also being on WW Online, I totally get what you guys are going through.

I didn't use all my FlexPoints last week (my first week on the plan) but I pretty much have this week. Is it best not to use them all? Does it impact your weight loss?

Also, I find I'm not getting my 5 fruits and veggies and 3 dairy products in every day, no problem with the water. Any one else have this problem?

Try a Weight Watchers Chocolate Smoothie for breakfast. If you make it with Fat Free milk its two milks and if you throw in a cup of frozen cherries its a fruit as well. Plus the frozen cherries thicken the smoothie and its like drinking a milkshake for breakfast, and they are really yummy, no kidding!

Good for you Donny G! If I could get myself to the gym, I'd be all set. I'm so lazy!

However, DD best friend was just here and whispered to DD, "Did your mom lose weight? She looks like she lost alot! DD told before they left. It feels so good to hear stuff like that!!!!!

Hi guys, I am back after the weekend out of town. Still have not lost any weight, still going to the Y this afternoon. I am working on the water and know I need to be accountable for my eating. Right now I am thinking I will go to WW this week, I just don't know when. If only it weren't bad parenting to leave your kids in the car to watch a movie, my life would be a lot easier. :rotfl: DH works such unpredictable hours and the oldest is not quite old enough to take care of the littler two for that long.

Before I go, my plan is to just write down every thing I eat. Not track it per se or count the calories or whatever, just write it down so I can really see what I am doing. I am hoping that will give me a clearer picture.

Welcome to all the new posters. I am so glad to be part of this and see the thread taking off.

ETA--I forgot that I wanted to tell you my big happening this weekend. I actually ran after my kids. Literally! We were at this huge park and they were teasing and running away from their dad. I was tired of being a bystander for all of this fun so I took off after them too. They were rather surprised and I was thrilled that I could do it. So, still havent' lost any pounds, but I know the workign out is doing my good. For the last couple of years I have had problems with my knees and no way I could run. They still are not great, but sure a lot better. I honestly don't think I have run in two years so that is pretty big.

Hi, I want to be under 200 also. Heck, I want to weigh less than my husband. I'm 5'10 1/2, he's 5'9ish. I have about 30 to go to reach that goal. Then about 20 more to be finally happy with myself. I want to stop shopping at the plus size store. I want to like shopping for clothes again.

That's not too much to want is it?

Monymony-that is absolutely not too much to ask!! I am tired of shopping at the plus size stores!! Usually I go in, pick out a bunch of cute things to try on, and leave with nothing because I hate the way everything looks. Or I buy an exact replica of something I already own.....like a t-shirt or khaki pants.

Disneymom3-YAY!! You ran!! Go you!! Sometimes its not the numbers on the scale, but the other benefits that you appreciate, huh?
YAY, Again!!

Have a good day everyone!!

I'd like to join! I was on a HARSH diet since last november and lost almost 50 lbs. I started out at 241. I'm now between 195 and 199... I've been cheating the past few months and if I"d stuck with it, I'd be at my goal of 165. I'm so angry with myself it's hard to get back into it.... but I'm going to. I HATE exercise and just can't seem to make myself do it.

I'd love to not feel like I look pregnant all the time.
