This is a gripe that I have and the thread about flushing reminded me:

I would really like public restrooms in places that can reasonably expect a number of small children to have a couple low-to-the-floor potties and sinks. Lifting a toddler up and down for the standard toilet can be done without too much trouble but trying to hold them up at the sink with one arm and use the other hand to turn the water off and on and reach for soap and help with the washing, all while trying to keep their clothing off the counter to avoid getting wet. UGH!

Anyone else feel the same or have good toddler hand washing tips?

Same feelings here, peg -- advice?? Unfortunately, none that I can think of except to remember to wipe the counter in front of the sink before using it. I can't hold DS and turn on the water without him touching the counter, and it ALWAYS seems like there's a pool of water in front of the sink!

LOL, High toilets can be a problem for the little ones. When my nephew was three or four I took him to the bathroom at church. In the stalls one of the toilets was very tall for some reason. When I opened the door to the stall my nephew looked in and yelled "No Way!" I about died laughing because that thing was taller than he was and he wasn't going anywhere near it.
