a weekend trip to DW - but no one else wants to go!! Should I go alone? I really feel I need a getaway for myself, and I know this would be a great pick-me-up for me. Am I crazy? 17yo son doesn't want any part of it, husband thinks I'm nuts, but I need some fun in my life.

GO, GO, GO!!!! :hyper:

If I had the option I would be there in a hearbeat!!

You must live within driving distance since Mother's Day is soon. I have the same issue with some of my family. My 16yo daughter doesn't want to vacation with the family, my DH doesn't like to go often like me, my 13 and 10yo argue when we're in the parks and complain when we're not doing what they want to do, etc, etc. I'm planning some trips with only my 4yo! Works for me and we will have a great time.

If you're up to going by yourself then go for it!

No, actually, I live in Boston, and I have a free ticket - frequent flyer miles; there's space on a Delta flight, I still have two days left on a park hopper, so.........

I think we would all agree that your husband and son are downright nutty. :crazy:

Hey Toby, my sister and I (both moms) are going to be in WDW on Mother's Day! Originally I was going to WDW by myself, but I talked my sister into coming along. It's only for one day, after spending the weekend with a bunch of my girlfriends at Daytona Beach. I have a pretty wonderful hubby! :lovestruc
I say go for it!::yes::

Go Go GO

That's what I asked for & look when I'm going!!

But only for 3 days:(

I had the identical experience last week. Caring for my 3 year old and 9 month old has worn me out and I needed a break. I suggested WDW to DH and he said, "Let's go on Mother's Day!" So, a last minute trip is just days away.
I would tell your DH that you NEED this. They may complain now, but they will end up having a great time. Just book it and have a ball!

Sorry about the hubby and kid, but I'm with everyone else: I say "Go, and don't look back!" Gotta take time for yourself, so you can take care of them when they need you.

My DH just got back in town tonight (in Europe for almost two weeks on business). I am so burnt out (4 kids, age 3-14) and all I have been able to think is "I wish I hadn' t done my Girls Only Trip in January!" How I'd love to take off right now and go to my favorite place in the world!

So here I am, checking out the boards to cheer myself up. You gotta go so we can all be happy!

Let the Magic begin!:wizard:

Get 2 tickets and I will grab the logan express to logan and go down with you. However, I think my family would be ticked, specifically my wife, plus we are going down on May 21. I say go for it :-)

WDW is a pretty great place to spend Mother's Day! I'll be there this year - 3rd WDW Mother's Day for me. Come on down!
