There's nothing like country livin'. We live in the stix, 15 min from the small city and 45 min from the closest largest city. It is great not having nosey neighbors. The kids can go out and play and the only thing I have to worry about getting them is the rattle snakes. Hopefully the dogs and cats will get those first! We have some horses and now some cows; had some goats but the cyotes got 'em (sorry!). I've heard guineas (birds) are good at getting rid of snakes so I'll have to consider getting those. Though we don't live on Green Acres we do live on "Crazy Acres"!!! Sometimes it's hard, the kids don't have alot of playmates and we have one special needs child who use to have ALOT of dr appts so the commutes were awful but life has started to regulate itself out. Can't move, we built our dream home so this is where we'll stay. There's plenty of land down south. It gets awfully hot in the summer but you don't have to worry about snow.
