Hey guys,

I'm so excited and I needed to share, we took a spin to our local Disney store today....it's about 1/2 hour away, just to go and get a fix! Look what Todd got me!!!

I've been looking at for a year, at least. It was $100 but I just loved it....well, we went today and it was only $35 on clearance! So we got it.....and it fits perfectly in my living room in my bookshelf. I'm just so excited....isn't it beautiful?! It plays "When you wish upon a star" and the snowglobe part "snows" too....soo cute!

Omgosh thats awesome! I love it and want one too! We don't have a disney store by us anymore, they have all closed. So now I have to do all my disney store shopping online. I love when you run into great deals- it makes you love the purchase that much more!

Okay guys...you've been patient enough with me....writing another update as we speak...I think I have only done through day 2! Let's get this party started (again!)...shall we?!

While waiting for the ceremony to begin, a very nice CM came over to say hello and chat with us and noticed it was Mom's birthday...she told us to hWe left off with us having a fantastic dinner at O'hanas the night before, we headed back to POP for a night swim and to get to bed early...afterall, I was going to opening ceremonies with or without anyone tomorrow morning! I've heard from my DIS friends that this was something that I shouldn't miss, so that was my plan, with the boys it's so hard to get out and to the park before opening ceremonies, so this was something I was doing.

The alarm went off at 6:30 a.m, I quickly got up and jumped into the shower, I still had no idea if Jodi and Mom were joining me or not. As I was getting dressed, Jodi jumped in the shower, I couldn't believe it, Mom told me they were joining me! YAY!!! So the three of us got ready, grabbed a quick breakfast in our room and headed on our way to MK. We got to the park by 8 a.m., grabbed a seat on the wall and waited (I think some of us were still waking up...but I won't name any names! ).

We were lucky that there was a photopass photographer there early, so we took advantage of that and got a few pics.....don't mind my hair, I decided not to fight with it this day, since it had been so hot and would get so flat anyways throughout the day, I just pinned it back.

A funny little story, Mom was wearing her Birthday pin today, she wasn't so sure of doing it because she doesn't like being the center of attention....well, Jodi & I convinced her otherwise that CM's would just be wishing her a happy birthday, it was the whole reason we were taking this trip so to wear it. old on, that she would be right back, I'm pretty sure Mom was turning 5 shades of red at this point and was worried what would happen next. The CM comes over and starts singing Happy Birthday to Mom and starts sprinkling a handful of Mickey confetti into Mom's hair! It was pretty funny.....here is the series of pics......

We could finally get Mom's wheelchair so we walked over to that area and picked that up, I took some more pics.

We left off with the opening ceremonies about to start....when the major came out I couldn't help but keep the smile off my face, I was SO excited!!!

Okay, I swear at this point, I was filling up with tears! I couldn't help myself...I was just so excited to finally see this show and all of my favorite characters, along with hearing them sing the "Good Morning" song to us....

I just loved this show!! It's definately on my to do list for next time, with the kids, they would just love it!! And Mom & Jodi loved it, too, we were all sooo happy we made it.

We head right to the bakery and decide to use some of our snack credits for a quick breakfast and some coffee. I was dying to finally try a cinnamon roll that I've been hearing about on DIS for quite some time, Jodi followed my lead and Mom decided to be good and just get a bagel.

I ate every last bit of this yumminess......mmm...I could go for one of thos right about now!!!

After breakfast, we took a quick stroll down Main Street...here are a few quick pics

We really enjoyed this ride, but in retrospect, not sure why we did it first! LOL!!

We then headed to Big Thunder......we literally walked right on both of these rides...it was great!

I adore the opening show at MK!!! It just puts a smile on my face and like you, a tear in my eye. What a great morning so far. Looking at the cinnamon roll is making me hungry!

It looks like a fun morning. I love the rope drop ceremony at the MK. Wonderfully cheerful and happy to get the day started.

I was watching Splash Mountain this trip and realized that in most cases it isn't the drop that gets you. It's the water canons that they set off just as you land. If your in a log that is set to go up the first hill (the one that goes inside right next to the big drop hill) at the same time a log is dropping, your doomed to get soaked by the water canons that go off as soon as the log hits bottom. I got wetter heading up that first hill from the water cannon than I did from the eventual drop itself.

Great updates. Thats how you got to do it is get there at rope drop and go for the rides you want and you have either no wait or very short wait times.
